I understand the excitement of the trade and the dodgers and omg magic Johnson or whatever. But acting like those contracts don't suck now is hilarious. Oh well, whatever.

Pretty good decision by the sox. Their entire organization was crippled by the contracts.

Fine for LA if they don't mind the luxury tax. Team looks a lot better than a month ago.

I understand the financial flexibility, but now where's the offense? Youk, AGon, Carl all gone. A never healthy jacoby and an old David Ortiz? Better hope misslebrooks and lavarnway swing it.

Dustin Ortiz and ellsbury are still there. And they can add pretty much whoever they want to that this off season.

Its a rebuild. Just in a rich team sorta way.

Now that the trade is actually official I'll comment on it. Idk how Cherrington pulled this off but WOW, just WOW. To be able to clear all that $ & only have to eat 10-12 million of it is just crazy. It sucks getting rid of Gonzalez, he struggled early this season but turned it on after the Break. What sucks even more is that we tried for 3 years to get A-Gon, we finally got him & gave up Rizzo & Kelly for him. SMH. I'm so glad Beckett & Crawford are out of Boston.

I wish we could somehow get rid of Lackey now, I think if Cherrington is already going this far to clean this thing up might as well go the rest of the way & dump Lackey some how. I think it's time to go ahead & fire Bobby V too. Just hit a big reset button on this thing.

It's great we have all this $ now, hopefully ownership will actually use it wisely now. I'm not to confident in that though.

I'll blame ownership trying to always one up the Yankees instead of Theo.

We will know in a few years at least.

It's a bad mindset.

You know who I blame? The fans. They wanted more and more. They forgot how sucky their past had been and wanted to be the Yankees.
