The Official Boston Red Sox Thread

Yes. Boston and everything about it was pretty damn magical in 2004 and for a bit after. They lost that.

The only thing better than losing by 3 touchdowns is having 2 players have to be seperated in the dugout the next night. It's freaking terrible, but might as well enjoy the show.

They need to trade everyone and put money in their farm system again. Just scrap it and restart.

They took the first step two weeks ago. A ton of money saved and two legitimate prospects. Just hope they don't go throwing around a lot of cash this winter.

Fox says FSG has sent out feelers to potential buyers. Of course, FSG denies it.

I don't see these as the type of things that are just unfounded scuttlebutt.

I may be a masochist, but I'm interested to see if Lackey has #3 stuff out of the gate next season.

No denying that the potential for a solid rotation is going to be there again, with Lester hopefully having a bounce back year and Buchholz returning. But as long as John Lackey is prominently involved I will have zero positive expectations.

Pedroia demanded to be in the lineup tonight despite having a broke finger on his left hand. He said that he didn't want to go out sitting on the bench & that he wanted to send a message to all the young guys & teammates that there should be no quit no matter what.
