The Official Chicago Cubby Bears Thread

What a surprise, Epstein is going all out to win another one. Man, no matter what happens with these moves, Cubs fans at least know they have a GM that will give them the best champ to win, now. He's drafted so well, he can take chances with these prospects, because they are still loaded. Happ, this year, Contreras, AA, last year, Schwarber, Bryant and Baez in succeeding years. Greastest GM off all time, counting Boston, almost not debatable

I thought the team had turned the corner but appears they're starting to backslide again. And I have no idea what's up with Edwards.

Hate to say it but St Louis is taking the NL central this year ---Epstein failed to trade for decent relievers

Starting to look like that. I still think the starters and Davis can get it done if the hitters get hot. But, I am an eternal optimist

should come down to the head to head games vs STL -- I really hate living around Cardinal fans, they are so bandwagon its not even funny

They looked better overall this weekend; but the Cards are pretty hot.

Zoborist is having a pretty bad year, Heyward is still a disappointment at the plate, and Schwarber has fallen off a cliff.

You guys hear footsteps that aren't really there.

The Cubs have so much more talent and depth than the Cards, who are still trying to find out who their starting position players are.

Either way, it would take a miracle to beat the Dodgers with the way they are playing.

I just want to make the playoffs for the 3rd straight year, something I've never witnessed, and hope we get hot. When you get into a 5 or 7 game series, anything can happen.

It probably will be the Dodgers, but I'd sure like the chance to find out.

With 36 games to go for the Cubs, they have a 4 game lead in the loss column over the Brewers and Cards. Although the Reds snapped the Cubs 5 game winning streak 2night, I feel like it's getting close to a done deal for a NL Central championship

I would love nothing more if Grimm, Rondon, and Strop were all gone. Wilson is on very thin ice, he's been a bust so far. Edwards at least has seemed to right the ship.

Strop just straight up choked that game away; all with 2 outs.

Add Lackey to the list of pitchers I want gone. You can set your watch to him blowing up around the 5th inning.
