The Official Kentucky @ Tennessee Series Thread (Fri. 5/12 6:30PM EST SEC NET+) (Sat. 5/13 Noon EST SEC Network) (Sun. 5/14 1PM EST SEC NET+)

Trading 1 out with a runner on 1st and 2nd for runners on 2nd and 3rd with one out. He did EXACTLY what he’s coached to do.
He had already broken down the line as the ball was being hit. He’s going to be out regardless, so doing what he did was good baseball although it’s hard to understand for those who would rather criticize than learn the nuances of the game.

Should Arkansas come back tonight to beat South Carolina, and then complete the sweep tomorrow. Amazingly, Tennessee would move to 3rd place in East ahead of SC by 1/2 game.

Not really far fetched scenario. Tennessee would be 15-12; South Carolina 14-12 (Last game against LSU was not played)

But the Hogs are not hitting at all tonight.

Third in the East would be 5th overall. Only the top 4 teams would get 1st round bye in SEC tournament. There is no path to 4 seed as Florida holds tiebreaker

Pulaski is realllllll redneck

True. I know we’ve chatted before about wife and I growing up in Roanoke, VA in the 70’s and 80’s. She loved attending Radford University and student taught in Pulaski. My brother played high school basketball for Cave Spring 83-85 and help lead the Knights to a district tourney win against Michael Porter and Pulaski.

We’re heading back to Roanoke end of May to attend my mother in law’s memorial service. I’ve heard Blacksburg and Radford have grown but Roanoke has gone south with poor leadership and it’s a rundown city.

Sorry to hear about your mother in law.

It was a base running error - plain and simple.

I disagree. It was a swinging squeeze. You go when you see the ball on the ground. Some times it works and some times it does not but it is a part of baseball. I think the only baserunning questionable play today was the one most of you would say was a great play. Burke going home when the ball is on the way was questionable in many's minds. I think the only way to win ballgames is to get some guys thrown out at home. If you don't take a few chances, you are playing too safe for me. Just like the swinging squeeze. He was just hung out to dry when the pitcher came up with it but if it gets by the pitcher he scores. Part of it.

That’s why “us fans” are wrong most of the time as we are not aware of “situational baseball.” I didn’t realize the coach had a “swinging squeeze” in play.

I can’t recall the other play you are referring to. What inning was it? I began watching rt when KY went yard to to make it 3-1 (or 4-1).

Where in Pulaski did she teach? I'd bet you my mother knows her. And when you're in town, holler at me.

Yep. The NegaVols criticize so much they don’t bother learning the nuances of the game. Of course, they are baseball experts and know more than the coaching staff and are always right with their constant criticism.

Nah, I didn’t Basillio lived there. Did he grow up there? I don’t know his age so can’t comment.

I know Rhonde and Tiki Barber as I used to baby sit them, one of their friends, and that friend’s five yr old younger brother.

I graduated from Cave Spring in 1989. I got a full time job at a full service car wash a few months after graduating & moved out @ 18 yrs old as I wanted my freedom with no rules.

I hated the job so I got my butt in gear, enrolled @ VA Western Community College, and continued working 40hrs a week at the full service car wash.

I found UT in a piece of literature @ the library and decided to transfer to Rocky Top the summer of ‘92. That was the summer Johnny had heart surgery and the Dream Team dominated the Olympics. UT was the best decision I ever made at the time during my life. Now my son is a sophomore there.
