Multiple sites have reported Fedora is in fact meeting with UT today. I'd shot links but I'm in class.

Fedora is a winner in my book. He's what you look for in a small name coach. He's won at every level he's coached at and he would have played for the ACC championship this year if NC weren't in the dog house with the NCAA. I'm all for it :rock:

Fulmer's clinic and practices were much more "laid back" than Fedora's. I was very impressed with Fedora and his staff! Their offense is no huddle, dynamic, and vertical in the passing game. The defense in a 4-2-5 and very attack oriented. He and his staff are on fire! This guy is good! I'm not saying he is my first choice, but I am saying this guy is on the radar, and I will go on record and say he would do very well at Tennessee.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, I watched some Southern Miss games and always thought he was a good coach.
I would take him. I like Briles a lot too, but don't see him coming. Either one I believe could win here. If not Fedora or Briles, then Strong would be my next choice.

I heard from a VERY credible UNC source Fedora is on UT campus right now. But who knows anything for sure at this point in the coaching search.

What about Briles do you like? I see him having two good seasons at Houston and two good seasons at Baylor including this years season. His winning percentage is basically 50% in the Big 12. He's 1-4 in all bowl games as a head coach. When he left Houston Kevin Sumlin took over and they got better instead of worse just as LA Tech did when Dooley left. He even won a bowl game there when Briles failed to do that in 4 seasons.

Could be tough unless he went directly from NYC to UT. Fedora, along with Dave Hart and UNC AD Bubba Cunningham, was in NYC for a big football awards event.

He COULD easily have met with Hart in NYC. Reportedly, UNC will have a statement about the situation sometime this PM (3 pm now).

Everyone keeps saying we need a "Home Run" hire, but they offer no name in response. Stop repeating what everyone else is saying and offer up a legitimate opinion. IMO if what people say about Fedora, being a "in your face" coach and a good recruiter, is true then I feel like that is exactly what Tennessee needs. We need someone to come in and light a fire under these kids. Motivation is a powerful thing and that is what Dooley could not do. I know there is more to college football than motivation but to have a group of teenagers in this day and time to give a 110% no matter what, thats a game changer. If Fedora comes to TN it might not be a "Home Run" buts its probably at least a triple.
