Well, he's not in office anymore.

I don't think respect is the right word. I can respect any politician who I think actually believes in their ideas, however distasteful they might be. Rand's trying to be president and prioritizing his focus on stuff that will get him attention. That's fine, but it turns me off, and then he goes and says stuff like the above tweet, which is completely antithetical to the platform I thought he held.

His book about the history of militarizing the police was awesome. He writes for Reason and WaPo. Lately, I'm not as plugged in. I mostly just see him on social media. He's smart and responsible and is up for the fight.
