Smithfield is moving to SHR next year. Some rumors I heard during the early part of the season was that they would move with Aric to the #10 at SHR. Going to be interesting to see if that part still happens or if they sponsor one of the other SHR drivers.

Based on statistics Aric isn't much of an upgrade. I'm betting this has as much to do with him having a sponsor willing to jump over with him than for his talent alone. IMO

Almirola never has been in top notch rides either. He raced for DEI/Earnhardt-Ganassi during their ****ty years, than drove a start & park ride with James Finch, then got a full-time gig with RPM which isn't a high caliber team either.
