Serious question do you also feel the same way about the Indy 500?
I ask because they are both as American as Hot dogs and apple pie. Nascar drivers are and have been for many years probably the most down to Earth next door neighbor type people and there's a large segment of the country who appreciates that.
Newman has the entire NASCAR world behind him. He’s going to feel outpouring support during his recovery. So glad for him and his family.
Lulz, I'm not attacking America or NASCAR drivers or people who appreciate them.
The super speedway races do very little to differentiate drivers. The NASCAR "Super Bowl" is basically a crap shoot to avoid "the big one(s)" and get pushed to victory (or disaster). Just makes no sense to me and the quality of the racing is not very interesting to warrant the hype. I do realize that I'm likely in the minority on that, though.
Blaney was extremely tore up in his interview. Also, while I’m not at all a fan of Denny, cut the man some slack on celebrating. I don’t think he or anybody knew the severity of the situation. There’s people tweeting the man death threats.I agree I don't think any driver did anything wrong, if he had passed it would be sad for sure, but there wasn't anything the others could've done to avoid it. The only thing that could've been done is for Nascar to throw the yellow earlier but fans complained when they did that in the past

I truly think Denny didnt know how bad it was, Also Gibbs gathering his team to pray before going out and celebrating was nice to see.Blaney was extremely tore up in his interview. Agreed. His spotter was on twitter apologizing profusely and taking the blame for not letting him know sooner. Gibbs is a standup man. I’m not taking shots at them for it. It’s just crazy the lengths people go to after something like thisI truly think Denny didnt know how bad it was, Also Gibbs gathering his team to pray before going out and celebrating was nice to see.
Glad his two girls have their Daddy after that. No doubt about it. There will be some good come from this. Hopefully Newman makes a full recovery. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t curious as to the extent of his injuriesI think something like this happening will be instrumental in team spotters mindful of accidents. Not getting after the Gibbs team because there's not a more decent man than Joe Gibbs. There are spotters out there t in close proximity to other spotters and hopefully they will prevent something unintended like Hamlin celebrating a huge win if there's anything type of last lap accident.
Enjoy the win Denny and hopeful Ryan Newman the father of 2 daughters makes a full recovery.
