I don't tell anyone on the FF because I would get sandblasted, but I have a slight connection to the team. A family member played high school ball and is good friends with one of our starters. I'm wanting to hear more of what the team thinks of Butch.

Everybody here knows me and knows that I'm not an insider by any means.

Yeah, I definitely feel as though unless he does something crazy next year, he's gone. Which sucks. UT expects more, and while Butch has grown the program back to the edge of being great, it's a huge step that seems out of his grasp.

Those in the FF are in for a rude awakening. Butch will get another year.

He won't pull a Josh Pastner and bolt before he gets fired.

Not a chance, unless he makes a silly decision to take a lesser job; which I give that about a .000005% chance of happening.

Plus you better brace yourself, when we whip an average Big 10 team in about a month in our bowl game, the hype train will be back on track for 2017.

I'm praying Notre Dame, WVU or Michigan State comes open. Giving him another year will probably set us back 3+ years.

I think I thought that last year but I don't think it is, mostly because he posts a lot in the politics board and doesn't sound like old Dave. Luther either leans left or just really hates Trump, and Dave was a creationist/Bible literalist right winger whenever he posted in the politics forum.

Of course I guess it's possible he FINALLY figured out how not to give away who he was but given the 3-4 previous tries were all virtually carbon copies of each account, I'm going with nah.

About time to revive this thread.

I'm cautiously optimistic. I'm not thinking 6-6 or 7-5. I'm in the 8-4, 9-3 boat. 7-5 is the floor and 10-2 is the ceiling with Team 121.

The east is up for grabs. Florida lost all of its playmakers on defense that won them a lot of ugly games the past 2 seasons. Georgia has to rebuild its OL, but is solid elsewhere. If Team 121's OL and DL performs like it should on paper, they could surprise a lot, including me.
