Can’t complain about the regional at all. It’s baseball, anybody can win a game but we stack up well against who we got!

Hot take: Kentucky loses their regional

They got a brutal draw. Illinois AND Indiana State?!

ISU’s best win is probably one win over Southern Miss. Blasted by Vandy, Illinois and the other 2 games vs Southern Miss. They’re 4-6 on the road vs teams with a pulse and they haven’t played in front of 7k fans like they will in Lexington.

I have a 5:30 flight Friday evening. So I’m not sad about the early game. Of course, we’ll then be at Disney World and will have a tough time watching the Saturday and Sunday games. I may have to watch on my phone while standing in lines!

Southern Miss isn’t as formidable as an opponent as they were last year. But still it’s baseball and anything can happen. They are outside top 50 in ERA. We have hit over double the amount of homeruns, they’ve only hit 68 on the year.

Their 2 main guys on the mound are Oldham and Mazza. We saw both of those guys in the Supers last year. Oldham pitched Game 1 that we lost. Mazza started Game 3 and we eventually got on him. Outside of that, they don’t have a top tier arm.

Don’t know much about Northern Kentucky, hopefully don’t have as much firepower as Wright State did offensively lol.

Northern KY is 149 in RPI. They are 6-11 across Quads 1-3 and 27-11 across quad 4. SOS of 269.

Baseball is now good enough to never schedule vacations till after Omaha…lol

In my defense, we had to reschedule about a month ago when my husband got sick the day before we were supposed to leave. So this was not my preferred vacation week. LOL

Same. But who they achieved that against matters. They played Ga and Mizzou and were somewhat competitive. Even beat Mizzou twice. Also lost to them 28-10.

Exactly. They certainly aren’t as daunting as the teams in the tournament we just won while “not caring if we won or lost”!
