Do you think Burke is more of a DH in MLB ?

Last year, I would have said yes. Now, he will play 1B IMHO. He’s the most improved player in college baseball.

I think Burke is sneaky athletic for a big guy and could probably play a corner outfield spot in pro ball , he should be considered for a gold glove at first base for the season he’s had this year , I’ve been to or watched every Tn game this season and hadn’t seen anyone close to Burke defensively , I agree CMO has had an incredible season but doesn’t have the range to play a middle infield spot in pro ball

It was hard to watch the game with a stoic look on my face after we took the lead.

Its ok. My sister is beside herself. She’s so mad at Kingston, she can’t think! She felt like Kingston left Gainey out there too long and then threw the freshman pitcher to the wolves. She’s infuriated, Im being very low key-not! Today’s game is going to a wet mess. Raining now, but not too hard, but calling for wind and hail! (I think a hail storm from Vol bats lol)

I really think they should bump up the game an hour, but doesn’t appear that is happening.

I was right, there are no divisions in the tournament. We’re currently a 3 seed

1-2 are based on division winners. That’s why we’re currently the 3 but have a better record than Arkansas. 3-12 are just based on record no matter the division.

Credit Drew Beam for a great performance & outstanding leadership. Despite horrible defensive support, he never pouted or showed frustration or displeasure to his teammates. Guys probably felt bad enough making errors but they were able to turn it around instead for feeling more pressure from Drew making a scene like we’ve seen in years past.

I saw that during the couple of mound visits. He even told Cmo I got you. He looked very much like a poised in control of his emotions professional.

I don't know how Kentucky got ahead of us. We lost the Bama series but after that no others and we won the series with Kentucky. Kentucky has lost two series. I guess they swept more? Anyway, I hope the weather holds out for us and Kentucky loses today.

4 Errors only 3 runs with a couple of jams to pitch out of during his time on the mound. Beam, cool as a cucumber. Never showed any emotions one way or another. Quality effort on his part and the team. Good game to build on for the team. This team shows how it can win so many different ways and they are gritty.

I felt like at some point we would put some runs up . The key was Drew keeping his composure and holding them to three. He didn’t have his best control and the defensive effort behind him left a little bit to be desired. He looked like a third year guy that has pitched a lot of innings for us.

They swept 4 of their first 5 series (UGA, Ole Miss, Bama, and Auburn….conversely, we went 7-5 against these same opponents) and went 2-1 in the other (Mizzou). At the time we had played them, they were 14-1 in the conference and we were 10-5.
