Yes. Many of UT’s hitters claim Causey is the toughest to hit against. Plus, he was a Fri starter at Jax St so he has the experience (granted not against SEC competition) but intrasquad he’s been stellar. Obviously looked great last night with the exception of one pitch.

Dolly adjusted pretty well to SEC bats. I think with Tony V and the Frankinator, I don’t worry about the pitching side of things.
Now Elander and his aggressive base running...

Starter AJ only pitched 4.1 innings while Reliever AJ pitched the other 4.2 innings... (I think starter has to go a minimum of 5 to qualify for a W). Starter AJ (and the team) never trailed during the game.

I think you could see Causey, Dallas, or Schaefer on Sunday’s depending on how well Zechrist performs. I’m pulling for Sechrist but love the depth. I think you’ll see Snead as a closer

Snead has touched triple digits this spring. However, he needs more consistency in throwing strikes to be considered for the closer role. Maybe that will come around soon.

Interested to see how Beam pitches tonight and if he’s developed any new pitches during the off-season. He’s such a consistent workhorse and strike thrower but doesn’t have the stuff that we saw from Russell last night. Going to be another fun game.

If there are runners on base when a pitcher leaves the game, he's responsible for those runners if they score.
