Jurrell Casey is 9th in the PFF ROY rankings. Well deserved, and I agree. The only DT rated above him is Marcel Dareus. Those of us here on VN have been raving about Casey all year.

Resign and move Jason Jones back to DT and I think the DT rotation is very stout. If they're dead set on bringing in someone bigger than JJ, I still think JJ should be more DT than DE. Focus on DE in free agency and the draft and the DL will be good to go.

I agree, the line wasn't all that great. We've got some good talent there but miss one or two key pieces.

I didn't mean that I thought the OL should be ignored, just talking D. :hi:

I think they'll pick up an interior OL or two in FA. I would bet a large sum of money that they don't draft an interior OL with a high draft pick, certainly not a 1st. Maybe a 2nd, but I highly doubt that, too.

Agree. I'll take that with new coach. Even more a 1st year coach with no HC experience. I wasnt thrilled about promoting Munch and now the season is over I've got a bit more confidence in him.

Guys might be forgetting that finnegan's contract is up as well


So corner might shoot up a bit on list of needs this offseason

Not to mention griffin, hope, and babineaux all have expiring contracts as well

From what I can tell, people really liked his performance/play after Ruud went down with his injury


Possibly enough for him to be the favorite towards starting next season...but I don't know enough to fully comment. Someone else here is probably a bit more familiar with perception of him and future expectations

He set the world on fire his first 4 starts and started to fade at the end of the season. Don't know if it was the rookie wall or if OCs starting to figure out his weaknesses, but he struggled a bit down the stretch. Regardless of him fading, though, his worst game was better than Barrett Ruud.

He will be the starting MLB for the Titans next year.

Titans Finished 8th in Points Allowed.

2011 I think can still be called a success.
9-7 first winning season since 2008, played the majority of the season without their best WR Kenny the Beast Britt, Chris Johnson having one of his worst seasons, started more than 3 rookies, head coaching change defense cordinator change, offense cordinator change, and many other coaching coaches with no training camp picked at best to win 5 or 6 games they won 3 or or 4 more than those.

2012 Griffin, Finnegan, and 3 other Titans defense players contracts are up. I thought Hope stop playing for the Titans because he wasn't used a lot.
Also Hasselback, and Locker competing for the starting job.

Mike Mularkey to be named HC of the Jags according to the Florida Times-Union.

I have no opinion on the hire. He wasn't a very good HC in Buffalo, but that was Buffalo. Had success with the Falcons as OC. We'll see.

Think the biggest concern first for the titans will be what they do before free agency regarding those DBs



Giving Griffin a big contract may or may not seemingly be questionable

You have to wonder whether or not the Titans FO will be willing to give Finnegan a big contract...he's almost certainly a player that would draw one from another team come free agency, but this organization has been very hesitant to give players huge contracts

I don't know about Babineaux being resigned as a starting safety, not certain whether or not he's earned it (SS is a position i think they need to draft or sign another)



Defensive backfield could be a mess come the april draft

John Glennon tweets that Munchak stated the Titans "could be" leaning toward defense with the first-round pick. Coachspeak, but I tend to believe this just based on the current personnel and contract situations.

Gimme a pass rusher or a safety and I'll be satisfied.

For the Playoff game vs the Giants it was crap.

Rams or Dolphins for Jeff Fisher as possible teams he could get hired as head coach. I think Rams would be more likely since they have been a doormat for the NFL.

We have our QB, RB, #1 wideout, TE and OTs set. Not really anything we can take on offense (in Round 1) except maybe another wideout.

I agree with you...IMO it's almost certain to be defense.

Blackmon but since we need more guys on defense he'll get drafted early.

I think the Rams job would be way more attractive than the Dolphins. They've got a quarterback, the second pick of the draft, and a lot of salary cap room. Additionally, if Fisher takes that job, he could help pick the General Manager which would be very, very attractive. The Dolphins don't have a quarterback, a meddling owner, and a cluster in the front office with Jeff Ireland and Carl Peterson.

Biggest draw back is St Louis vs South Beach.
