The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

I take it you haven’t watched the last two years of college football? I take it you didn’t notice the guy hyped as one of the top 5 guys in the entire draft fell out of the first round? I take it you didn’t see another overrated QB in Richardson get drafted before him?

Simply put, what does drafting Levis solve for the titans right now? Not a damn thing. Skoronski fills a hole on the line. We do not need a QB right now. This is about as dumb a decision as drafting Malik last year and trading AJ.

Vrabel is a rock star coach but this front office and ownership is shooting themselves in the feet year after year.

Our second round pick literally solves no problem nor plugs any hole in our depth chart.

I'm glad a different ownership has taken that title from the Bengals even though Mike Brown is still around..

Will freaking Levis is a Titan. SMH. Hope it works out, but again, not expecting much. Maybe the new OC can get some good out of him. If memory serves, he did some pretty good things with Davis Mills in Houston.

So is the general thought/consensus then that the team’s officially in build for the future mode?

Actually I think they’re in let’s turn this into a dumpster fire mode… with the QB’s on the roster they’re wanting to guarantee that no other team throws more interceptions than the titans.

My disdain for the Levis pick aside, if you draft a guy who you perceive to be your franchise quarterback, he needs some dudes to throw to. The Titans are in need of playmakers at receiver. The fact they didn’t try to address that need in round 3 is kind of insane.

Couple that with the fact they don't have a 4th round pick makes it even worse. 5th -7th you're just looking for bodies that can contribute in special teams. For all intents and purposes the draft is over for the Titans.

At best I can give them a C letter grade. Disappointing draft to say the least.

Some people seem way too upset about Levis in the second round.

Levis was sliding with no team in sight to take him. We traded up to get an overrated QB. No way Hooker goes in the 3rd round and Levis doesn’t.

To add insult to injury, the skill players we were hoping for all got picked before our 81 pick. Can’t believe we went from A grade draft after round 1 to a D grade.

I’m still shocked we traded up, didn’t take Mayer only for Raiders to trade up and grab him….

Amy and management used those 3 playoff years to secure the stadium deal and now don’t give 1 sh!t about winning. Very tone dead organization.

If they tank this franchise into the absolute gutter. The first season with the new stadium will likely look like a massive success…. It’s simple, we are going to tank for 2-3 years until new stadium season.

Ran and Vrabel cited 30-40 drops over the last two seasons that drags Levis' completion percentage.... Okay so why would you bring in a QB plagued by drops into a team that essentially has one of the worst WR corp in the league lmao

Also Ran when asked if the strategy of hoping for a Miracle WR in the 5th round: "Continue rolling the dice and playing our board"

I will say Levis did seem like a good dude , he sounded like he genuinely was ready to get to work.. theirs like a 2 percent chance I end up liking the dude but if he does impress I could give em a chance.

I imagine having a big noggin thinking you’re a top 5 pick to going in the second round humbles you.

Titans went from the team that I moderately support (tune into their games, hope they win, don't care that much when don't) to the team I easily hate most. I hope they go 0-17 for eternity.

Levis pick was boneheaded. Should’ve gone after a WR. There was plenty to be had, Tillman and Hyatt were both still available although maybe a little high at that point but still would’ve loved one of them over Levis. Then next year go after a QB that would be walking into a talented offense.

First pick was fine, they need Oline help desperately, then they should’ve gone after WRs, maybe even take two with the next two picks, but at least one. With no 4th round pick the draft is basically over for the titans.
