The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

Again I am not going to fault the coaches for betting the game on the defense instead of the offense
I see what your saying but they aren't just being on the defense. They are being on the defense to stop them and the offense to go 70 yards and score with under a minute.

Those odds versus getting 6 for a first down. One seems much less complicated than the other and given our issues I'd bet on getting 6 yards before I bet the other way.

Maybe I'm just looking at it wrong. I mean you just have to get lucky once.....vs getting lucky to make the stop and getting lucky on a long drive.

see that I was proven right about the Titans Saints being a competitive entertaining game, however I was proven wrong about the Titans defeating the Saints because the Saints were able to outplay the Titans because benefited from 1 turnover because they scored the only td in a 16-15 game.

I’m unsurprised that the Saints won because they had less turnovers.

Tannehill seemed to play like he was fearing being benched.

There was also the missed call on the fumble TD

Benched for whom? Levis or Willis?

We have had issues with the defensive backs for years, have to get better there. The biggest issue with this team though is still the offensive line.....

I know we have some injuries and they've moved people around to the point I wonder were positions settle. There isn't anyone coming back that's going to make a huge impact but we have to get better somehow.

At this point I think it's obvious we aren't going to compete for anything.... We probably should run out these young QB's and see if you have anything. I don't think we do but at least you can play for draft status and try to improve.......

You also have to decide what offense you are going to run moving forward and draft and sign the right guys that fit. We aren't really doing a great job of that right now.

Tannehill does not look like the same guy after his season ending ankle injury last year. He looked slow and completely lost out there. I’m going to chalk that up to rust right now and hopefully he will improve a lot come next week but a couple more of those performances and you have to see what you have in Willis or Levis if it doesn’t get better in a few weeks.

The Titans register a week 1 one-point loss and you’re already discussing throwing in the towel on the season. Well done, sir!

He's not wrong though. If Tannehill doesn't improve and continues to miss throws and cause turnovers you might as well see what you have.

I had to follow on espn due to being at my father-in-law in deep Meigs County shouting guns. Excluding the last pick how many points did NO get of the other two RT picks

I don’t think we can figure out the philosophy. Only 15 carries for Henry. Double team throws to DHop and jack crap to our TEs.
I'm not completely sure either. Can't determine if the issue is TE's and receivers not getting open or fault with the route concepts/timing of play calls. I think it's a little of all the above.

Personally I'm really sick of the vanilla conservative offense. If it was something like we saw under A Smith I'd be ok with it. But this ain't it, whatever the reason is.
