The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

Vrabel is perfectly happy if every week the Titans are in 13-10, 17-14, 20-17 type games.

I don't think he cares one bit if the offense ever scores a touchdown as long as the defense can muddy up a game and keep it a 6 to 10 point game going into the 4th quarter.

He is as stubborn or more than Butch Jones. The offense is stuck in prehistoric times compared to other offenses in the league.

Still can’t believe some people would be fine seeing Vrabel go.
Exactly...........
If he keeps making calls like to kick a FG down 4 with 2:30 to go on 4th and 6, Vrabel will need to go.
It was the correct call........Geez. Screw analytics.
Titans were stopping the Saints. Had three TOs and the 2 minute warning. They were moving the ball well between the 20's.

BTW....Did MV miss those two wide open throws? If he did, then yea, time to get rid of him.

after years of wanting/needing a game changer at wide receiver, we finally land an elite wr in the draft only to trade him away and then spend our next few years trying to find a game changer at wide receiver/upgrade our other receivers 😂
"We" didn't do that, and the man responsible for that is no longer employed by the organization because of that decision. And IMO the talent level of AJB was underestimated by Robinson because of our style of offense and who was throwing him the ball. He wasn't really widely regarded as an elite WR until he got to Philly and had a 1500 yard season last year. He went from 870 yards in his last season as a Titans to almost 1600 as an eagle. So unless we fix the problem at QB/offensive scheme, even if we do land an elite WR, it ain't gonna matter.

That’s some revisionist history right there. Aj was easily a top 10 wr in the league. He had 870 yards his last season because he missed games due to injury. You conveniently left out the prior 2 seasons where he had 1,051 yards and 8 tds, and 1075 with 11 tds. And come on dude, quit with the “we” bullsh**. You know I’m referring to the titans organization, who yes did indeed trade him away and have since been trying to find wrs to replace him and upgrade the other wr spots.

I think everyone knew he was elite when he was here. I never questioned it

Yeah, that's just not true...... He was considered one of THE best young wr's in the league. He was a known commodity before he went to Philly.

Outside of a few idiots on this message board, it seemed universally known that he was an elite WR and that what we did was insane. Best WR I can think of this franchise ever having

I still haven't figured out that deal...It was like we were shooting ourself just for the heck of it. Titans have made dumb moves over the years....this ranks near or at the top.

It certainly looks like it's going to be the same old issues this year. Our starters are going to miss make amounts of time due to our style of play..... And depth is a huge issue..... Yet we still continue to package draft capital for projects.

Your last point is the dumbest argument a fan can make. Did Pruitt fumble vs Bama and throw the pick sixes vs Kentucky? Did Butch blow a hail mary vs Florida? You'd think after years of horrible coaches, Vols fans would learn to not make excuses for every mistake a coach makes.

Titans will never win a super bowl treating the game like its the early 2000s. That's the biggest flaw Vrabel has.

Sorry, barely scratching 1k yards is not elite production.
