The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

Titans are bad enough to spread around the blame. GMs have been bad. Compare Dolphin drafts and pickups to Titans. Vrabel is not a good coach, I could coach a team to 100 yards in offense.

A team with a washed QB, RB, WR1, and patchwork OL? On the road against a team whose strength is defense? Doubt it.

It’s Will Levi’s though…. I think most everyone knows or at least is confident that he’ll end up being a scrub

People working with limited data sets are by nature basing their opinions in ignorance. I wouldn’t put any value into any of them.

Doesn’t mean they’re wrong. Most QBs end up being scrubs. So he may suck, too early to say for sure. But it does mean their “logic” they used for arriving at that conclusion is complete trash.

This was you. Right?

It's a game we should win. They lost Chubb. Watson has not looked even close to the Watson we saw in Houston. I think our DL will force a turnover or 2. I think if we can score 24 points we win.

Did you see his play at Uk? In spite of a strong running game, he was average and had a habit of throwing interceptions.

So great, he couldn’t get past Malik on the depth chart.

We didn’t need a RB in the 3rd either while I’m at it.

But I’m just using my eyes looking at this Oline not PFF or whatever.

It’s ok, I was told our new GM was *checks notes* the “progress” that we needed to turn this roster around.

Meanwhile our starting o line includes a multi year Andre Dilliard signing and a 3rd string Brunskill.

The Levis pick really clouded my judgement on the response to Spears…. After 3 games I’m fine with it. It was still asinine to draft Levis though when there were countless receivers, lineman, and Meyer still there.

Of course we did. Unless you think we should play RT until he’s 50.

This is not smart. Tannehill’s deal expires after this year. We drafted Malik last year who sucked under Downing but we fired him and hired a new OC. Instead of drafting guys who would be on rookie deals for 3/4 years at skill positions, we drafted QB who is overrated and fell down the draft in a year before what is considered to be the deepest QB class of this century…

Tannehill doesn’t have to play till he’s 50…. He only has to play 1 more season. And if things are bad after 6-8 weeks, you see what you have with Malik while being surrounded by young 1-2 round draft picks at WR/TE…. Having a young and rookie deal offense with an expiring starting QB position going into a deep draft class for QB’s with a top 10 pick would be golden. But even the Titans screwed that up….

Vrabel is an amazing coach and we would truly be doomed if we fired him.

Calm down. Vrabel is a decent coach, but he's not going to make or break the organization. His fate will ultimately be tied to this GM and the most important position in sports (QB). Personally, I don't think it looks too good for him here long term.

He lead us to the number one overall seed with the most injured team in NFL history.

Hes a great coach. No one does more with less.

Now some of the roster management is on him, but if we can keep him long enough to get the right players and system he can get us there. Dude is one of the best in game coaches in the game.

Yes, drafting next years starting RB was a terrible idea.

I can’t believe the Oline is as bad as it is. They’re rotting garbage. I wish I could make the money Dillard does for being a turnstile.

Andre Dillard signed a 3 year, $29,000,000 contract with the Tennessee Titans, including a $5,990,000 signing bonus, $13,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $9,666,667.

You think Henry is washed up? Damn man… have you seen how disgustingly 💩ty their Oline has been last year and this year?
He ran for 1500 yards last year in spite of it

Make no mistake, I am not calling for his head. 2019 and 2021 were excellent coaching jobs, but the NFL has very short term memory. Also, his hires, particularly offensively, have been underwhelming at best.

Unless Willis or Levis actually pans out, I will be surprised if Vrabel is still here in 2025.

Looks like he threw about the same number as Patrick Mahomes. His 21 stats were solid, 22 less so. But he also had next to nothing around him. Especially in 2022.

You do realize QBs continue to grow and improve after college right?
