The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

So do we see something positive today, or is it another regression after an impressive comeback?
Who knows. They’re very up and down.

They either look good, or they get their teeth kicked in by Houston while wearing Oilers uniforms in such a way that upper management ends up never pulling out the throwbacks again for 10-15 years.

Huh. I didn’t know this but apparently the Titans didn’t originally inquire the home game against Houston being their 2nd usage of their Oilers throwback uniforms, but rather the away game against the Dolphins (as Miami often wears white at home).

The Titans will announce which games the uniforms will be worn at 8 a.m. ET on July 27. They’ve inquired about wearing them for a road game against the Miami Dolphins, as well, but that appears unlikely at this time.

The uniforms made their debut in a 28-23 win over the Atlanta Falcons on Oct. 29 and nearly returned for last week’s 38-27 win at the Miami Dolphins, though the NFL ultimately denied that request.

It sounds like - with the Miami game being scheduled on Monday night game before the season started - the Dolphins (who had choice as the home team) wanted to wear their home aqua colored jerseys instead of their white ones, and the NFL’s rules on uniforms and colors contrasting enough made it so that the Oilers Blue jerseys couldn’t be used in the same game (with how close the colors are).

The Titans won’t make the playoffs, however I’m still happy to see them gelling as a team in the Levis era that has been mostly reliable.

I'm done with Henry. He is worthless
Tim Kelly is worthless

He is totally clueless. Afraid to be aggressive because Levis may turn it over? Um HELLO, the only way we can move the ball is if we let him sling it. The screens, HB toss plays, jet sweeps KILL us. So many hopeless, predictable behind the LOS plays that kill drives.
