The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

I’ve been opposed to the “draft an offensive lineman in the first” crowd on here. But with a lot of mock drafts not having Keon Coleman in the first round, I’m open to it.

Take our favorite tackle to start the draft and then Coleman in the second and I’d be a happy man.

Not really. They have an atrocious cap situation that is going to cause them to have to dump a lot of those top names to make it work and field a roster. Herbert would be a dream to have as coach, but Chargers Cap and roster are going to have massive overhaul
Yeah, really.

Carroll is too old and Harbaugh would demand total control and Amy has made it clear she ain't down for that.
Carroll is too old, Harbaugh isn't an option here because he wants a big market and isn't a fit culturally. The rest is irrelevant except in your made up narrative.

Haha for asking to have more control on who would be picking the players he would be coaching? How dare he. This makes Amy look like a control freak. Not a good look for an owner.
No it makes her a smart owner. That kind of power hasn't worked for more experienced and tenured coaches than Vrabel.

In seeing the recent info being leaked by the Titans I'm beginning to understand why Vrabel was let go the way he was. He felt he deserved/earned something. His boss and others in the front office looking at other trends in the NFL noted how badly this often works out.

And somehow the narrative here is that AAS is responsible for the friction...... To me this appears to be the best resolution to relationship that has become troubled. Vrabel was not, much like an interior D lineman this season sometimes it's better to move on for both parties involved.

One thing that I find troubling is how many people are pushing the silly narrative that the NFL forced a minority hire. That's just insulting, the league offers incentives to hire minorities, if you can find a good candidate that happens to be a minority you would be stupid not to take advantage.

This line has been a disaster. We need to draft and build the left side of the line. I am not fond of trying to buy an offensive line in free agency.

Definitely don't want to go strictly free agent but there are so many holes you almost have to bring one or two free agents in to fill holes.

He wanted more though. I'm not saying there isn't blame paid on AAS here but did Vrabel deserve it? I'm not so sure.

I'm sure most NFL HCs want as much roster control as the owner will give, I don't see that as a knock on him. The biggest knock on Vrabel is his OC hires since Smith.

The Titans problems boil down to 1 person and that is AAS, she needs to hire a President of Football operations.
