The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

We also needed an effective pass rusher and a replacement for Williamson. Both Evans and Landry were going to be gone had we not traded up to get them, so I thought Robinson made the right decisions.

I liked the day one move and I agree those were our two biggest needs but I feel like safety was a big enough need where I would not give up a shot at a quality contributer there to jump up for Landry. He better be worth every bit of that pick and then some. I'm not sold on the hype but I'll be happy to be wrong.

I know you guys don't like the browns but knowing scheme offensively... They are making the most out of what they have... But honestly the Titans are killing it. Now go get Kelly and a TE or a late what if WR.

Heck no to Kelly. He** no to a WR. We have like 8 of them right now. We need another safety,DE/DT, way before any of those positions you mentioned

I agree with everything you just said.

We don't have a third or fourth and need a safety, interior OL and could use a rb or wr. IMO we really need to upgrade or bolster our safety position opposite Byard.

I actually agree on Safety. I’m not big on Cyprien, but I think we can make due with what we have on the OL. Plus, you never know how the day 3 guys will turn out. We might strike gold.

All things considered, I liked the moves and thought they were warranted. Two major areas of need were addressed on a team that, in all seriousness, did not have many major needs.

I disagree with the last sentence. We needed that linebacker. We also needed a DE but in all honesty what we have is serviceable unless there was a home run upgrade available and I'm not convinced we got that. Safety was a very close third in need. Cyprien is a liability in coverage and his shortcomings really limit Byard's full potential.

I hope Landry lights it up and proves me wrong, to be honest I found this draft class to be very weak, but that's just my opinion.

No for sure number 1 receiver so throw your hat in for a what if in 6th... But first go get Mo Hurst still think he is a top 10 player in this total draft... No matter te issues unless it is super damming to his career.

I hope we get a DT and Sweat if he is there... You need a transition RB... Kelly fits that perfectly. TE for the future because Walker is 34.... Nothing I said was worth that response.

I don't believe it is weak. I believe the top 10 isn't super strong as a whole but the class has pretty good talent 4 rounds deep.

However, Barkley, Chubb, Nelson, Fitzpatrick, Payne, Rosen will be stars in this league... I also believe that the best DL prospect still is on the board with heart concerns...

Agree that TE will be a need but think that could be addressed next year. We still lack a number 1 wr threat but we have a guy in roster that could fit that bill if healthy. We will see. Those positions will need to be addressed next year for sure. Depth at DT will be needed but you can find a body or two in the 6 and 7 if needed and that is really all we need at this point.

I get that. I felt the moves were warranted, but we'll just have to see. There's still guys like Marcus Allen (Penn State) out there if we decide to go that route and pick up a safety in the 5th or 6th round.

Very weak may have been too harsh a statement. I agree the star power was lacking and while I agree there is some talent and especially value in this class overall it was down. I really liked the depth at O line in this class, particularly the interior.

I really believe Nelson, Fitz were the best prospects in this draft and would say comfortably the top 10 is heavy OL and DL...

Cyprien’s job just got easier with the addition of Butler. Add to that he honestly wasn’t even that bad last year. I’m sorry but our D just took a major step forward with these picks, IMO.

I don't think Allen lasts until the 5th. I think he goes early today. There are a few others out there like the guy from Tam but beyond them they are special teamers or strictly reserve players. I don't think there is going to be anyone else out there that could help us at safety when we make our next selection.

I would like to see how he graded out last season, I recall seeing him breaking down in his assignments in pass defense and being badly exposed. Sometimes what you perceive as a breakdown by one player was a missed assignment or misread by another teammate though.

I am totally on board with Evans pick but am concerned giving up a third for Landry. If the GM and coach are on board this tells me they must be more confident than I am at safety. Like I said I hope I'm wrong.

It's been a long time being on the forums. Glad to be back!

Alot of electricity sparking on the Tennessee fields this year. I'm ready for a SEC Championship title and a AFC South title.
