The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

I've loved our draft until that pick. I absolutely don't get drafting Falk. I understand needing a long term back-up option but our issue since drafting Marcus is when he has went down we've had to replace him with a QB who isn't mobile and that is the definition of Falk. Not going to lie I really hate this pick.

Naw, good pick by titans in sixth. Kid has value and honestly this should be a put up or shut up year for Mariota. Good back up and you cloud move this guy with some draft equity to comeback to you... I don't hate it, good idea in my opinion.

BOOM!! I’ve said we were going to draft a QB for the last 3 months. Imo Falk is hands down better than josh Allen and probably Rosen too.

Falk was a good pick. Our problem hasn't been that our backup wasn't mobile, our problem was that our backup was garbage. This is a low risk pick with good potential.

Glad they are going Wolf a shot - under utilized and developed at UT. Nothing wrong with giving Falk a shot either. He' s got talent.

Yeah not crazy ab the pick myself. But I will say the issue with Marcus going down and not adjusting must go on previous staff. And previous backup bc Cassel sucked big time

Of the All Time top 20 NCAA passing leaders in yrds. .....only Philip Rivers (13th) has ever done anything in the NFL.

Not a good sign for Falk or Baker Mayfield....Numbers don't lie!!!!!

Some of you crack me up. You act like Robinson, with input from LaFleur, clearly didn't know what he was doing by drafting Falk. The same guy that knew what he is doing by moving up and drafting Evans and Landry before they were gone. Tough crowd.

He's a #3 that could become a #2 with one play going bad. He learned a complex passing scheme at WSU. He could fit right in, learn the system, and carry a clipboard for now.

Lol ever heard the phrase false equivalency?

And the all time leader in passing yards is coming off a very good season.

I'm not whining about Falk being drafted by TN...I'm just stating facts based on numbers and the past. I think he could be a good back up. Who knows, he might not be the norm.

CKeenum had 1 good yr. Congrats!
BTW...Look up the All-Time leaders in receiving yrds and see what they have done in the NFL. Antonio Brown is the only one that has done anything. Titans have 2 of them.

You seem to be promoting the idea that college success is somehow detrimental. Which is simply a dumb argument. Especially considering of the top ten QBs, 3 were in this draft and the 4th just had a great year.

The issue isn’t that college success is detrimental. It’s that the nfl just started adopting the college style offense in the last 5 years or so. So you have an incredibly small sample size.

I'm not promoting anything.......not saying success is detrimental....saying that that the numbers indicate it.

Besides Ty Detmer, all did play pre - 2000. I get that and College football is much different now and the NFL is slowly adapting to the college game. But prolific passing yrds in college don't = the same thing in the NFL.

And ...look at the top 100 All Time. 8 are even considered good qb's. Only Rivers, Peyton, Brees, and Ben R are considered elite. JMO

Falk has a wimpy arm, took a lot of sacks, and took an eternity to make decisions. I liked staying up late to watch Mike Leach football, but thought this kid was significantly overrated. He made me cringe a lot.

Hope we can use him as trade bait in the next draft.

If any GM's feel half as strongly as you do I don't think we'll get anything out of it.

Personally speaking, I don't think Falk is half bad. Definitely not a world beater by any stretch of the imagination, but not awful either.

So JG has a good chance of being picked up in the 6th?
