He spent plenty on Ryan and Cyprien, they just got hurt. And drafted Adoree. The defense has mostly been solid since the first Houston game

Correct. Would have been a bad decision by Mariota. Only hope I saw that he had was to simply force to Davis right beyond the sticks. I think we're still in the hunt as Buffalo lost today as well. I also would think if we beat Jacksonville next weekend we'll be in but could be wrong.

He had plenty of room to make that throw. Walker kept running on the same line all the way out of bounds & was right at the sticks. Threw his hands up in frustration

Front 7 has been good and Robinson replaced 3/4 of the secondary. The only holdover was Byard, who he drafted and should be a Pro Bowler. Not sure what else he was supposed to do

Cyprien has been a liability in pass coverage since his days in Jacksonville and has been here too. We shouldn't have signed him to a big deal. Also Ryan has been trash as well.

Ryan is fine, I’d rather have him than spend double for a marginal upgrade

13th overall defense & 2nd rushing defense in the league. Yes pass D is bad, but they usually bend but don't break. Offense has had chance to win multiple games after the defense makes stops late in games but the offense can't capitalize. Just like UT in 2012.

Defender could have easily jumped that ball.

I agree that the offense is the issue. If Mariota had not regressed for whatever reason we'd be 10-6 or 11-5 by the end of the year.
