The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

They'll be better off when the rest of the league is testing positive around time the playoffs start.

Let me get this straight. The guy who spear-headed this:

didn't properly enforce the protocols?

I don't believe it.

Then they were unintentionally and ignorantly spreading the virus.
Hard to say that it was ignorant when they begin everyday knowing whether or not they are negative or positive. Going outside with masks on to workout is not exactly a breeding ground for this virus. If one believes it to be airborne then these players could have gotten it from anywhere at anytime, not necessarily from their teammates.

One could say to that, well they probably got it from a teammate, or very likely got it from their teammate, or the probability is very great that they got it from a teammate. But that logic is the same as, and has taken precedent over this logic ; They are probably, in all likelihood, a according to the science and data, not going to die, or even get that sick and have nothing to fear.

"well it could have been from anywhere, this is a global pandemic, you never know! its at the store, in the wind, a gas pump maybe somebodies wife got it from the grocery store, it could be anywhere, how can you blame the players or the broken protocol"

Then somebody could say to the other argument, "well you never know, you might as well play it safe, I don't care if there is only a 0.00003 percent chance someone could die and zero athletes have even come close to dying, keep up the fear."

Everything is completely arbitrary.

I'm not concerned with their likelihood of developing serious complications or dying from the virus. I'll even grant all of them the benefit of the doubt and will assume they have mostly stayed in aside from these gatherings, meaning they aren't a risk to anyone but each other.

What concerns me is that they knew they couldn't practice and they did it anyway. And as a result, they've continued to pop new positives. As a fan, I don't want them to be afraid; I want them to have common sense.
