The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

I’m feeling a loss too, but I don’t get why Vegas has us as a 3 point favorite. What do they know?

I hope Henry has a big day.

Henry will show why he should've been starting over Murray, even though I think he's already done so over the course of the season imo.

I also like the way Decker and Davis are playing, if we get them involved early on our offense might have a big day.

So you're admitting you're wrong?

Also, you're definitely butthurt. You're probably the only person on here who quite literally spends a whole day arguing over NFL fashion statements.

Keep digging, lol.

Arguing is quite literally what message boards are created for. B*tching about other people arguing...well, THAT would be complaining.

I expect a win by TN but not a convincing one. 27-21 or something along those lines. Mularkey will throw out every trick play in the book to reach the playoffs to delay his firing.

It’s going to be 24-25 degrees tomorrow with a wind chill that’s going to make it feel like 13 degrees at best.

An open stadium in a southern city? That place is probably going to be pretty deserted tomorrow, regardless of records.

I think it’s cuz we are the home team. Home team gets 3. But I use that as a rule of thumb in college ball, may not hold true in the NFL.

It’s crazy to think we went from solidly being in the division lead 3 weeks ago and thinking it was a sure thing we made the playoffs to basically being in a donor die situation tomorrow.

I’m gonna say a 20-16 score in favor of the Titans just because I want to see us make the playoffs. I’m not sold on us being a great team at all, but I am sold on us being good enough to make the playoffs when we actually play football. If the Rams game showed me anything, it’s we tend to play up to the competition or down(see the previous two weeks). It’ll be an interesting ball game tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully we can continue our conversations in this thread for at least another week after tomorrow.

Something I haven't seen brought up as a reason why Vegas favors the Titans is the fact that the Jaguars have clinched the division and are a lock for the #3 seed. On the other side, the Titans are fighting to get into the playoffs, when gives them the greater motivation to win.

Tomorrow will be Henry’s coming out party IMO. That boy plays and runs pissed off and angry.

I think we play it close but Jags win on a last second field goal to win 24-21 in the 4th. We also miss out on the playoffs because we don't get the help we need from Miami and Oakland. We won't fire Mularkey and the only possible change that happens is at OC and that's not a guarantee. I think we're stuck with the same staff for another season at minimum.

@RapSheet

#Titans ownership was in the building all week, and that’s rarely a good sign. Coach Mike Mularkey is in trouble & a loss could seal his fate. #Patriots OC Josh McDaniels will get a hard look

Just not seeing it, the only smoke that is building is from us fans.

Just looking around on twitter there is some rumors saying Mularkey will have to win today and even win the wildcard game to keep his job wow.

I never thought this was a possibility, I figured he would be safe even with a loss today for at least one more year.

He had the south gift wrapped to him after they beat Jacksonville. They just needed to win 2 more games and they'd have won the south without question. These last 4 weeks have been horrible. How they are going to finish the season on a 4 game losing streak to teams with losing records (other than Jacksonville) with the playoffs on the line and still expect to keep his job?

Given our history I figured we would be slow to make a change. We should have fired Fisher after 2009 but instead kept him for 2010 and than waited four weeks to fire him than.

We used to be but we only gave Munchak 3 years and Whisenhunt only got 1 1/2 years.

Like it, but not a fan of McDaniels. He torched Denver’s core in a hurry

Agreed, anyone who drafts Tebow in the 1st round doesn't deserve a second HC gig. I'm also tired of the NFL's love for retreads. I would rather risk a hire on an assistant than hire a guy like Del Rio or Fox.

Agreed, I’d hire Steve Wilks over those guys. Some retreads are okay (Marrone before JAX hired him, O’Brien if he’s available but he won’t be) but not most of the names I’ve seen mentioned.

That’s not really correct. To have won the south, they would have still needed to beat Jacksonville this weekend had they won 2 out of those last 3 games.
