The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

Whether the change comes from Mularkey or higher up, I don’t think Robiskie survives. JMO

Robiskie has to be the scapegoat this year... Who's available to replace him? Kills me we didn't go after Kyle Shanahan. He schemes his players open instead of relying only on his players to make their own separation.

I agree the coaching staff is a huge issue but I'm afraid our problems on offense go a little deeper than just coaching and schemes.

The jury is still out on Mariota and he definitely deserves another year at least.

Our running back situation is interesting, Henry is the least physical 240 pound back I've ever seen. He has to develop that part of his game to be the guy. That is why he isn't the number 1 right now IMO.

He won us that MNF game against the Colts. Had a couple of big catches on our final drive to keep it going.

Henry as well. Think we can all agree the pieces are there for us to be really good. Defense still needs help in the secondary but I think our biggest problems are on the sidelines

I have become a Titans fan again... (Used to be a Chiefs fan well EB fan) still am an EB fan but nevertheless...

I have studied football enough to know that you have to pick a scheme and stick with it... The flow of the game gets awkward and playcalling gets murky whenever you go to a hurry up and a more or less smash mouth concept... They don't mesh well the way they do it... Either you open it up or you go get another quarterback because it isn't fair to either party to continue what you are doing.

On a side note, if the worst-case scenario does happen - being the Titans lose and Buffalo or LA goes to the playoffs - TEN's record and strength of schedule (everyone in the AFC South's is very weak this year...Jacksonville has the worst SOS in the NFL with Tennessee having the 2nd worst) could put it as high as a 13-16 draft spot (#13 if Arizona, Washington, and Green Bay all win next weekend; #16 if they all lose).

Titans 2018 Opponents Now Set

Home:

> New York Jets
> New England Patriots
> Philadelphia Eagles
> Washington Redskins
> Baltimore Ravens
> Jacksonville Jaguars
> Houston Texans
> Indianapolis Colts

Away:

> Buffalo Bills
> Miami Dolphins
> Dallas Cowboys
> New York Giants
> Los Angeles Chargers
> Jacksonville Jaguars
> Houston Texans
> Indianapolis Colts

So next year the divisions with the 4th and 5th best records rotate onto the schedule (the AFC East and NFC East won 51.6% and 50.0% of their games, respectively).

Not great (the ideal situation would have been the AFC North and NFC East rotating onto our schedule) but far from the worst case scenario (both the NFC South and AFC East rotating onto the next year schedule).

They can do a horrible job without it meaning the game is fixed. Just like Derek Carr’s linemen can miss a block without it meaning they did it on purpose because of an anthem dispute. The conspiracy theory stuff is crazy

No crazier than believing 5 game changing "mistakes" against one team in one game that had playoff implications was just coincidence. It's been happening for years in multiple games with multiple teams each season. We can agree to disagree.

EDIT: Below is another one from the same officiating crew last season. Where's the suspensions or terminations? Guess which team benefitted. Funny how that works isn't it?

Tomlin: Anderson's crew calls more penalties than most NFL crews

Guess who played a major part in Deflategate that benefitted which team:

There's more, but Anderson and his crew have been well protected in high places through the years.

Kind of sad the Titans are having to beg fans to come to the game Sunday; but at the same time I can't blame them because it's hard to get excited for this team and especially this coaching staff. If we hadn't have just lost 3 in a row, 2 to teams we definitely should have beaten, I doubt this is happening.

Mariota seems to have taken a step back this season. I really want to think he has an undisclosed injury. Some passes not even close.

Play calling is dismal. Definitely need to find a new OC who can use our weapons to the best of their abilities. We have to be one of the easiest offenses to game plan for in the league.

Calling a lot of penalties isn't the same as fixing games. You're implying they favor major teams, then post a link to a Steelers coach--aka the most successful franchise in NFL history--talking about how they didn't go his way. Deflategate was a freaking 45-7 game. Predictably, your quest for evidence led to a bunch of jumbled nothingness.

I figured you would be too busy continuously arguing with everyone about Alvin Kamara and Colin Kapernick's choice of attire to pop back up in here.

Lol I appreciate you following me around like I'm your dad, if you disagree with me I'm still waiting on you to prove me wrong

Nobody's following you. You're like Volnation's version of Cliff Clavin, you never shutup.

You're in every other thread getting butt hurt over one thing or another. You were just complaining about Trump's tweets too.

I said he has thin skin, which is true. I'm not saying it means he should get impeached. If I say the sky is blue, I'm not complaining about the sky.

You've complained about me more than I've complained about anything. If I'm wrong, prove it.

Pretty much every post in the Kamara thread is your arguing with somebody, therefore... You're wrong.

It’s also going to be in the 10s to 20s in an open stadium.

So where do we think our old coach (Fish) is going to wind up? From what I've seen from "insiders" they all expect him to land another job next year. I could see him winding up at either Chicago (played there) or actually Cincinnati (Rams owe him $16 million and we all know the Bengals are cheap). I don't see him being in play for the Giants opening.

Let me get this straight: you're complaining about me arguing on a message board? And you think I'm the butthurt one? Lolol

So you're admitting you're wrong?

Also, you're definitely butthurt. You're probably the only person on here who quite literally spends a whole day arguing over NFL fashion statements.

Quit squabbling and make some score predictions. I need to know what people think!
