That’s hilarious. This is how I picture you knuckleheads, behind the right field wall, the morning of the first game!

Mizzou definitely was weather related. Some of the others (LSU, Arky) were top 5 teams when we were still trying to find our identity.Forecast for Saturday at 3PM in Hattiesburg, Mississippi is:
High 93°F.
Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.
Chance of rain 40%.
IDK what the forecasted dew point will be, but it's currently 69°
I think our team plays better in warmer weather and if you go back through the season, several of our away losses were in cooler temperatures. I believe warmer weather livens up hitting and makes pitching easier/better.
Good luck to you as a fan, but if your program isn’t allowing public access to tickets then I have nothing good to say about them. I will group them along with the NCAA in this decision for hosting. It was an inside job and nobody else will convince me otherwise. You seem like a nice fan but your program and the NCAA look very bad right now. I’m sure the fanbase is great and I will be cordial with any of you and fellow Eagles fans but everything around this decision just feels wrong.Accidentally posted below and wrong thread, but see below.
What up Vol nation? Peaceful Eagles fan here just to chat baseball. Quick run down of thoughts and glad to help with info for Hattiesburg.
1. We are a baseball town and have an incredible fan base. Pete Taylor Park is a great college baseball experience. For anyone going you will be treated phenomenally. The right field roost is a great spot. It’s been going for 30 plus years. We allow 30-40 cars to drive in and tailgate in the stadium…. They grill, drink, etc. Go chat with with those long time fans and you will be treated well. Also if in town and out to dinner or bars and wearing Vol gear you will be treated well. Probably get a free beer or meal…. We are very appreciative of fans making the trip.
2. Our fans will be obnoxious and talk a lot of **** to the players…. Which May back fire because that seems to motivate TN baseball. As mentioned above your fans will be treated well though.
3. As a USM fan I hate this draw. This feels like Ole Miss again last year.. I said last year I would rather the team go to Miami than host Ole Miss…. This weekend I said I think going to Clemson would be easier the TN at home or in Knoxville. Hope I’m wrong, but we shall see.
4. Tanner Hall our ace is as good as anyone in the country. Big league change up and pitches.. doesn’t over power, but just an amazing pitcher. Storm out the bullpen is a shut down guy. After that we have solid pitching, but none are just dominating guys.
I think TN fans making the trip will come away impressed and amazed at what “little” Southern Miss has going in baseball atmosphere.
Safe travels to anyone making the trip and all that good stuff
They are providing 600 tix to UT—I’m sure this was the same that we did for LSU and ND when we hosted Supers the past 2 seasons. Season ticket holders gobbled up the remaining tixGood luck to you as a fan, but if your program isn’t allowing public access to tickets then I have nothing good to say about them. That’s BS. There’s more to it than getting out bid. We didn’t stand a chance.I feel your pain on the optics of it, but my understanding it was a bid thing and we just out bid. As the general public thing.. we sold out the stadium on season tix before the season started. We sent out required 600 to TN and then our 5000 season tix holders have first right of refusal. Which makes sense
Same thing happened here the last two seasons. Short memory? Come on.Good luck to you as a fan, but if your program isn’t allowing public access to tickets then I have nothing good to say about them. No offense but you must have a fandom for USM or a connection. You are really pro-USM.Huh? What do you mean “public access to tickets.” So USM looks bad because they wanted to host and are?

I agree txbo. Baseburg2000, you have a dad on the selection committee. That pretty much sums up the selection process. But it's okay. We are your Ole Miss nightmare coming back to life.
