See players being ejected in Regionals for bringing “props“ a few feet out of dugouts. One was a necklace and one was a hot dog. Or Clemson’s CF getting ejected for chirping at one of our players.

Umpires ejecting players for celebrating hiomeruns. It’s ridiculous—let the boys play! Too many Umpires have rabbit ears and love to insert themselves (and their egos) into the games.

I think the optics of Cammarela’s ejection were bad and on the surface it looks weak. However, I tailgated with a former assistant SID at Clemson who’s still employed by the university on the football academic side, and obviously still has connections and the word/rumor is the language that was directed at Zane was along the lines of “suck a d**k, mother ****er”. That’s likely to get you tossed regardless, especially after warnings had already been issued.

Deservedly tossed if that was the case. He acted like a caffeine fueled Lenny Dykstra at the plate while starring down Dollander after each pitch and slamming his bat down after a walk. I could totally see him being a punk and clown.

He reminded me of a slightly more “exuberant” Gilbert lol. His play and antics are those of the one you hate if he’s not on your team but love him if he’s your’s. If he doesn’t experience a SO slump he’s going to a damn good player and give the ACC fits for 2 more years.

I don't know Zane, but he looks like he is 12 years old. The optics must have been just too much for the umpire.

LOL. I was thinking the same thing but edited Dykstra for Drew. Gilbert is one of my all time favorite players next to Evan Russell and Jared Dickey, but man was he intense! 🍊👍😀😀😃🍊👊🍊. Glad he was on our team!

Yes, I definitely don't mind discussion or disagreement, as long as you are a fan of the VOLS and celebrating with us when we are good. I don't even mind other fans who come here, as long as they own that.

On the other hand, some posters like SMG (sarah michelle gellar?) always shows up to rub it in when something doesn't go right for the team. When all is good, never around.
