Tbh, they sound like a bunch of small town rednecks that have no concept of anything outside their little bubble. They think that yelling obscene stuff at our players and harassing their families means they are a good fanbase. Interacting with them has made me dislike them when previously, I was completely ambivalent.

The only way I see it, is that we are going to have to swing the bat and foul pitches off. Would definitely be watching footage of pictures in their first 3 innings to prevent 1, 2, 3 innings and low pitch counts. Not sure who they start first game but the 2nd game is critical. Does their coach go for broke and pitch their ace or does he hold off until game 2.

This. And the Tennessee fan base kind of started it by whining about not hosting and showing our ignorance by not realizing USM is a decent program with decent facilities. But you know our fan base or anything associated would never do anything ugly…….it is only the other universities.

Agreed on the list being weird, I would never defend that behavior and it is ridiculous. Playing road series in the SEC I’m sure our players have been exposed to much worse than they will be at USM.

I don’t remember seeing one single comment, at least on here, where anyone said USM was not a decent program. Yes, fans on both sides can take things too far at times, but I don’t think it was in bad taste for Tennessee fans to express their opinion about the decision. You can call it whining, but I call it a valid question/objection to how this host site was selected.
