Adams is 3-2 this year with an ERA of almost 5 vs. Beam who is 8-4 with an ERA of a little over 4 vs a lot better competition. I like this matchup and our bill pen. We still have to play the games but I think 6-2 Vols.

As usual in do or die (win or season over) scenarios, most of each team's pitchers will be available--and manager pitching decisions
following the start of the game will be crucial. If you fall behind by a run or two early, are you pulling your usually dependable
starter early and starting the procession of pitchers out of the pen? Do you have more confidence in your starter to settle down
or risk calling in a pitcher from the pen--who may or may not get the job done? How long did you go with relief pitchers---a batter or two, an inning or two?
Game circumstances will dictate some moves, but this is a situation in which manager and pitching coach really need to be in sync,
and your scouting reports on the opponent need to be sharp. Even then pitching decisions are rarely cut and dried. Vitello left our starter
in too long last year in game 3 vs. Notre Dame. Certainly, getting a strong 5+ innings out of the starter and getting a 5-0 lead would
make things a lot easier! Let's do that!

According to a USM poster, he said that USM’s coach said that Mazza will start for them tomorrow and Armistead will be ready out of the bullpen.

Start time will be interesting because of the forecast for tomorrow:

Partly Cloudy until Noon EST.
Scattered and Isolated thunderstorms until 6PM EST
Mostly cloudy and Isolated thunderstorms and then partly cloudy from 7PM EST onward

Yup…Mazza is other option. We’ve seen their top two starters. There were two others guys who started about 10-12 games or such. Not looking at stats.
