What you say is spot on.
I don’t understand how Tears isnt playing right field. Dickey behind the plate. Dreiling or Merritt in LF and the other DH.Yeah. It’s been one of the decisions Tony has been making that I have understood the least. Dreiling looks very comfortable at the plate and has had great approaches, but he’s not played much. I don’t envy the difficult nature of balancing this lineup, but it’s to the point where I wonder if it’s not worth putting Dickey back at catcher so you can keep Merrit at DH and play Dreiling. Stark hasn’t provided a ton at the dish, although his catching has been pretty great lately.
I don’t pretend to know what the right answer is. But we have a few guys scuffling at the plate right now and we need all the juice we can get. Too often it feels like this lineup has been scoring 10+ runs or 1 run. We need a middle ground in post-season play if we want to advance. You can’t count on having scorching at bats for an entire month and this team needs to find ways to win games where you’re score 3-4 runs.
inconsistency at the plate has been the crux of this team all year. I agree a change in the lineup could helpYeah. Burke is lost at the plate. There is a hierarchy here and at most schools. Dreiling has to be playing, whether it is DH or elsewhere. Unfortunately, there are some who just are protected and won’t sit.Yeah. It’s been one of the decisions Tony has been making that I have understood the least. I think these boys need their prostates tickled. Where's @Volstylexx 's sister?Prostates are indeed the key. We need to have a few tricks in our bags.
