I simply ignore it as the babble of the type of mouthbreathers that apparently hang out at Hoopsville or various other fool heavy sites.

It is unreal the bickering about someone who was wrong about recruiting. Most of these kids parents don't even know 100% where their kid is going let alone some reporter. That's kind of whole appeal of recruiting services.... I don't agree with all of Hat's opinions, but some of these posters' beliefs that they have more insight than him is foolish.

Well is assume/hope we are at least the favorites, but anything can happen now. Just makes this season and potential elite 8 more important.

Just a thought, but wasnt Pinkston & Harris talking about playing together? Maybe Harris showed up last night to tell the staff he was going to sign somewhere else, Harris then told Pinkston which made him back out to see where Harris ends up?

Harris will sign today--why else would he be here? Do you really think he would make a personal visit to tell Pearl he planned to sign somewhere else?

Oh ok. I didnt take time to look & see who was recruiting them. I remember reading somewhere on here that they had been in contact with each other about playing together.

Harris suprising everyone & being on campus last night was a great sign though, right? Or is everyone reading to much into it?

I would love to think that was the reason. I just don't want to get my hopes up until tomorrow...the whole Pinkston ordeal was bad enough. I couldn't imagine thinking Harris was coming then watching him put on a Cuse had tomorrow.

It's a good sign. I'd want to know if they flew back to New York or drove before assessing how good.

No the worst part is posters having no perspective, putting the cart before the horse (so to speak) and sitting themselves up for disappointment. Nothing is certain in recruiting until the ink is dry. People shouldn't get so excited and post ridiculous stuff until it's a done deal.

Well, I know at my high school in Knox County, I was allowed two excused absences to visit colleges. Might have a similar rule.

Of course, he is also one of the top HS basketball players in the country, so I'm sure they are more lenient with him no matter what rules they have.

I don't think we get Pinkston now that he holds off till the spring. That really sucks because I wanted him in the orange and white.

does anyone on here remember charles barkley at auburn he was listed at 6,6 but was closer to 6,5 and he was a rebounding and dunking machine ,i just wander if pinkston can jump like barkley

I like the fact that Harris was on campus last night. That bodes well for us. I wouldn't think he would spend the time/money to fly down to Knoxville to tell BP that he wasn't signing. Just doesn't work that way.

Pinkston's decision to wait doesn't look good for us. It's really becoming apparent that most bball recruiting websites and their analysts have little to no idea what they're talking about. Some kids just enjoy the attention.
