The Official Thread of the 76th NFL Draft (2011)

I think I'm right. They're going on and on about the work ethic.

It was probably just a refreshing change from...well a QB who skipped practices

Now, whether it turns out an over-reach or a good pick.....yet to be seen

He is someone I can atleast get behind. Kinda refreshing.

You think that's funny while defending Newton to the Panthers?

My motto... "At least it's not Cam Newton".

Steve Smith has cleared out his locker. Newton is going to be throwing interceptions while Locker at least has Kenny Britt.

I would have taken Locker over Newton regardless.

I'm not a Cam lover by any means, but what has Locker done that makes you think he'll be a much better pro than Newton?

Yes I do. Newton may be (is) a criminal, but from an unbiased view I think he will do better than you predict. We'll see if they re-tool with their remaining picks.

Oh, and Britt is one deep ball from tearing his other hammy, so I wouldn't count too much on him.

Not really.

Come on, Jake Locker at 8?

I berated them on Chris Johnson too. I've learned to wait and see with most of these draft picks

you'll know when it's a bad reach. the crowd and every analyst from near every outlet lets you know (see Jags last year)

Wouldn't have minded Fairley, but I'm glad we've got a quarterback. Welcome to Tennessee, Jake Locker. Great player on a bad team. Great work ethic.

If I were a Titans fan, I'd rather have picked up Ponder after the first.

He didn't play in a gimmick offense. Every other passing play was some sort of gimmick. Newton was constantly kneeling forward and then dropping back or flipping it out to wr's and running reverses where he gets the ball back. Their offense was all sorts of f***ed up. Plus, a lot of the crucial plays he scrambled for it. He's no faster than NFL linebackers and her certainly isn't going to be running them over.

I've just never been sold on Newton. I think VY was a better faster and is quicker. All Newton has on him is strength. I just don't see it but best of luck to the Panthers. If it works out for em, great. I feel like the Titans have already gone down that road and VY was even less of a headcase imo.

Uh, ok? Glad you can predict future injuries. You should play the lottery.
