This may not be THE year, but it sure will be soon. The best and then one of the best position player prospects right now... and who knows if we might add bj upton at some point

Agree with you. Everyone seems to think September is highly likely and anything sooner would make everyone say Wow.

Glad he's not our only top level prospect.

Apparently Davey Johnson wants Harper to start the year in Washington. I disagree as I think he still needs to perform at the AA level, but if he has a killer ST and the manager wants him up there, I guess it's possible. Would be really cool to see him in the MLB on opening day.

I would be excited and incredibly nervous at the same time. He would certainly have his struggles in a major way if he started out the year there.

If he comes in hot, it would be better than rick ankiel/roger Bernadina platoon in center. But would make me worry. No need to rush the kid.

Ryan Zimmerman, Nationals agree to 6 year contract extension with an option for a 7th year. Locked up through 2019 or 2020. Monetary details not known, but a no trade clause wouldn't surprise me, as Zimmerman has said he wants to finish his career as a National.

I am pretty sure we signed him to a two year/10mill extension in the offseason.

Whispers (not sure if any substance) that we might acquire Gerardo Parra, but even if not... this offseason could mean B.J. Upton and/or Zach Greinke.

I keep a gauge on rosters, farm systems, actual payrolls..but what is the tops for a nats potential payroll? I keep hearing they have money..but how much?

Agree. No way the rays have the offensive fire power to make it through the AL playoffs.
