I have about a dozen friends from China. (Grad students at GA Tech, mostly.) From what I've seen, they're at least as emotional as the average American and probably more so. (Chinese is a language that sometimes seems built especially for screaming at each other.) They do a hell of a lot better job of keeping a stiff upper lip and controlling it in public, though.

realizing you only gave yourself a two year window might kill you vercin, especially since Phelps will still most likely make a run to swim some events in 2012. If you could hold off until 2015 or so, you'd probably be money.

2010 is right in the middle of the cycle. He'll be off winning the world championships somewhere, sure, but they might as well be held on the moon for all the attention we'll be paying it in the US.

Bela Karolyi says that of course half the Chinese girls are underage. You've got to figure that a professional, uh, admirer of young girls like him knows what he's talking about.

which is actually why I think you might be in trouble. The 2010 winter games will probably give just enough attention that when added to the world championships he'll probably be in about 13 of 20 given heads. But maybe all my time around sports has disillusioned my brain.

yeah I think he said there was some sort of an investigation into the whole thing, but they had passports proving their age...issued from a country they are competing for. I think we should do that.

wow. I know the names, but I'd probably screw up picking Dan and Dave out of a lineup of 5 people.

Edit: I'd be able to pick them out if it were pictures from '92 though.
