Numbers don't tell "the truth" either. They're just numbers. Context gives numbers meaning. Go find the context.

Come on dude, people are going to have a different opinion than you, it does not mean they know less about the sport..If you were a basketball god and knew everything about basketball you would be coaching right now and not posting on this board.

This hire screams cheap to me, but I could be wrong..No need to insult your basketball IQ if i'm right though.

It isn't about opinions, it is about the lack of anything tangible or meaningful to back them up.

Do you read this board? The vast majority of these folks don't have a damn clue about the sport, the worth of a coach, etc. etc.

I was disappointed just in the fact that I had hoped we could land Frank. Once, I stepped back and looked at the positives, this could be a fine hire. He cleaned up a mess in a tough mid-major conference and he has the guts to come here and attempt to clean up our mess.

That's enough for me to back him. Go Vols!

Buzz Peterson, part II. When Smart goes to Ga Tech or NC State it will be interesting to track who does a better job. Of course Smart was too smart to listen to UT.
