For those of you who do read and have the ability to think, now it the time to do just that. This man has left a trail of clues. Try to pick up on them. This is truly a home run hire. Get behind him and stop this negative drivel.

LOL at this thread....You know everything about basketball huh? Come on dude, people are going to have a different opinion than you, it does not mean they know less about the sport..If you were a basketball god and knew everything about basketball you would be coaching right now and not posting on this board.
This hire screams cheap to me, but I could be wrong..No need to insult your basketball IQ if i'm right though.
Well, one thing is definitely certain. Being a minority helped in getting this coaching position. The NCAA likes minority hires in football and NCAA restrictions are usually reduced if a university hires a minority. I really thought Alabama's coach would end up here for that reason.
I couldn't identify a good bball coach at the Final Four.
I wanted Brad Stevens. Or Frank. Or even Marshall.
I wish Tennessee had hired a bigger name coach with a longer record of success - but with that being said - maybe this guy does alright. He just has to win. That's all. If he doesn't, we'll fnd another one who can.
It is what it is.

It appears the Pearl haters are defending this hire with the same vigor that they had when calling for Pearl and or Hamilton's firing. Seems a little self serving to me.
the 2 are separate events. Thinking Pearl should have been fired has no bearing on whether I think Martin is a good choice or not.
