hatvol, I'm not saying anything against you. But, I think without Scotty this year would be way worse than it has been.... He's still young.....yes he still is not very aggressive but he still has a lot of room to grow if he stays.....jmo fwiw

I think the only game that I thought Scotty was an essential ingredient in was Kansas. Other than that game, I think Cam Tatum would give us an equal or better chance to win if he took all of Hopson's minutes.

Where is he going to go? YMCA youth league? I hear he would be the top pick, guaranteed popsicle after the game.

Well just based off of what I saw against florida.... he took a bunch of shots but he was also the only one to score 20.... it could've been worse without him

Everybody watch out, Hats throwing his wallet around. Don't want anyone to get hurt.

I make more money than people who clean the toilets at my job, doesn't mean I know how to do it better than them.
What are they doing? Selling ads to 1-888-DRILLASS? They're nothing but the NBA version of the Clark Francises and Tom Lemmings of the world.

I don't think pointing out that he scored some in a game where we were blown off the floor in the second half means much. I'm talking about him helping us actually win a game not just lose by less.

They're consistant with their mocks every year. I don't give a damn what they're selling.

He really can't get to the rim at will. Half the time he dribbles it off his leg or is stripped in the paint without ever getting a shot. He is also incredibly inconsistent with his shot as well.

I will agree he has his moments but overall i believe he is our best penetrator imo. He actually is a better 3pt shooter than people give him credit for. When he is set he can shoot it with the best of them but again how often does our offense allow him to spot up?

I seem to remember one of the sites that you mentioned having Tyler Smith as a first round draft pick after his sophomore season. However, shockingly when he talked to actual NBA reps, he was told that he wasn't going to be drafted anywhere close to the first round; thus, he returned to Tennessee.

I don't think those sites are reliable at all.

I understand but I definately think his offensive production... no matter how bad it is... helps a team with what seems to be no offensive prowess

I have no idea what you're talking about with Tyler, but draftexpress consistantly has the best mocks.

He spots up all the time because you rarely see him moving to get himself open. He doesn't get a lot of shots off because he can't create a shot for himself.

Also, JP Prince is unquestionably our best penetrater. I would put both Maze and Goins ahead of Hopson as well.

Greg Monroe is already in the NBA and Ed Davis and John Henson are going to be Top 5 picks in this year's draft according to those guys. It's easy to be "consistent" when you update something every week or so.

From another board.

"Draftexpress.com has actual, professional, credified scouts working or formerly worked for NBA teams. One look at their national database and international database and all of the exlusive player-workout interviews during draft time proves their credibility."

From the SunSentinel.com...

According to the always reliable DraftExpress, the 6-foot-11 center is "not particularly athletic, but has a massive frame which he uses to draw fouls at a terrific rate.

You were saying LawVol?

I spend some time putting a Baby crib together and lo and behold I come back to Scotty Softson's NBA projections.

For the record, i'm NOT saying Hopson should be picked there, but he IS projected in the 1st round by the most credible NBA draft site.

The SunSentinel? Yeah, I have great faith in any paper that employed Ira Winderman as their NBA guy for about a decade. That's where I go for my information. Find Peter Vecsey, or someone of that standing, praising them and I might rethink my position.

"Credified?" Really? Let me know what site that came from so I can avoid it. I refuse to put stock in a site that employs people who use made up words.

The fact remains that draftexpress is a reliable site. I've followed it around draft time for the last few years and they are consistant. Obviously others agree.
