I think a lot of people got carried away with the scene that day. My departed father always said the best way to not get in trouble is to not be there. There were plenty of people standing around (like the dude with handcuffs) that would have had me thinking….”nope, not staying here”. I’ve also heard people argue that a lot of the 1/6 protesters didn’t know they were breaking the law. 1st. That’s nonsense. And 2nd. Ignorance of the law doesn’t excuse you from a conviction.That's a quote from a VN regular to remain unnamed (he's not a bad guy) who was upset about the summer 2020 riots, but seriously referred to the Capitol rioters as "mainly peaceful."

The main whatabout I’ve heard from 1/6 is the antifa riots serious lack of prosecutions. True or otherwise it is irrelevant to 1/6.That's a quote from a VN regular to remain unnamed (he's not a bad guy) who was upset about the summer 2020 riots, but seriously referred to the Capitol rioters as "mainly peaceful."
I called out septic for his personal hypocrisy.
You’re an admitted partisan hack. So I don’t expect you to understand. Actually you understand, you just rejected it because it doesn’t fit your narrative.
@hog88
Did I “call you out” earlier on liberal liars?
Did you pitch a fit like a child or laugh it off?
Just to be clear, there are people in the thread wanting this guy prosecuted who are also bringing up the riots.
precedent
noun
1. an earlier event or action that is regarded as an example or guide to be considered in subsequent similar circumstances
just to be clear,
If you wanted the Jan 6th people prosecuted then you didn’t want this guy prosecuted or you’re a political hack.
If you didn’t want the Jan 6th people prosecuted then you don’t want this guy prosecuted or you’re a political hack.
Or if you didn't feel the 1/6 people deserved all that they got, then it's reasonable to think this guy should get the maximum treatment rather than leniency. Sometimes it's also about the consequences setting the standard.
I guess I’m not understanding the problem .. it’s literally against the law to pull a fire alarm if there’s no fire . In addition it seems also an added penalty to do it to try and stop a vote . Charge his ass or anyone else that does it . It’s about as straight forward as you can get and if a peasant like any of us we would have a court date shortly after them seeing the video .
