realistically, play calling has to be limited with the rush coming at worley. But some stuff is just dumb. such as that above. yes it falls on worley eventually for not running, or throwing it away, but a coach is supposed to put a player in a position to succeed. I do not know that anyone could do much better in play calling overall, with the situation presented.

Its butch jones offense. He was gameplanning too. The offense itself is inheritantly flawed. There is nothing that makes it special or hard to defend. Maybe 5 years ago it was more unique. Now it is just another spread offense and it is far inferior to most of the spread offenses out there.

I agree. I found the announcer annoying talking about how good of defense the defender played...croom just whiffed the ball. although it was a great pick keeping his feet in and everything, but croom had position and no doubt should have caught it.

Bajakian has a lot of proving to do the next 2 games. I don't think anyone is impressed with his play calling.

The motion man got the ball EVERY single time. The QB didn't keep it on the read option ONE time. So its just a slow developing, easy to diagnose run play. It was an embarrassing game plan and embarrassing play calling.

Croom couldn't cut it as a TE and he can't do it as a WR. It's sad that he has hands of steel.

i agree, i dont care who says it dont but our offensive play calling has sucked, it sucked last year.. it has sucked the last few games and it sucks now, our o-line is not good on the right side or the middle..we are young...no slants very few screens... why go 5 wr in 5 yards all the defense has to do is stand and react watch the qb eyes.

This game might look totally different with VP and Wolfe in the game. It sucks we lost those guys against ARKANSAS STATE...

There are good points. We cost us several times. Meaning if we correct mistakes then we are there. Which we should get better given our youth.

That's what Im trying to say. Our OC has no confidence in the run. Even breaking off a huge rush on that drive, when it comes to getting points on the board you saw where he turned.

O-line blocking is terrible . They are young , I think everyone expected this

Receivers cannot get down field due to the INSTANT pressure.

OU is sitting on the underneath routes because they know our receivers cannot get down field.

The running game is inconsistent...instant gap pressure.

To those that call for the zone QB keeper ...there is no such thing in this offense . The keeper zone read in this offense is the QB pulls the hand-off and passes in a quick hitting west coast layered system

Again , instant pressure - no blocking. Receivers cant get to the top layers , QB cannot execute the play fake. The underneath routes are covered up .

If you want to pass deep , zone, west coast , triple option , veer , wing t , single wing ....you must have O-line production . We do not have that at this level...yet

Especially the way Worley has been getting killed/no time to throw. Beyond dumb. I was listening on the radio and when Bob said five wide I lost it. WHY?

I do not like our play calling, with that said there are serious limitations to our offense because of our front line, no issues with skill positions.

We will only get better as season goes along.
