So I just downloaded the whole J. Cole mix tape Friday Night Lights (it's free).

Not gonna lie. I don't see there being a better mix tape this year. If there is then it means Tupac came back from his private island.

Love KRIT. He's killing it. I remember listening to his "KRIT WUZ HERE" mixtape and knew this guy was eventually going to blow up.

Also, if there is a singing chorus in a rap song, I want it to be BJ the Chicago Kid. Dude is incredible.

His Truly Yours mixtape came out this year.

Friday Night Lights came out in November 2010...so 2011. It's great stuff. My favorite stuff by him. So many good, versatile songs on it.

Weird, because last night Steve Levy even made a reference to You Got It on the Heat highlights talking about Norris Cole.

Born sinner isn't too bad from what I've heard of it so far. Kendrick Lamar is slowly moving up to the top of the current guys IMO.

Kendrick is awesome. Saw him at a concert at Georiga State. Young Jeezy also popped up

...first caught him on shade 45 during the holidays.

He and ghostface did a track together awhile back. In addition to the rap game, he's also a legit chef.
