The Return Of Chris Jericho

This will make Orton about 20 times better in the long run. It will be the first time he's done a program with a young guy who can actually wrestle. He will benefit much more from working with Y2J than he would have if they had done the easy thing and had him feud with HHH. Also, the Kennedy-Michaels program will be awesome.

hat do you know if mcmahon has any other tricks up his sleeve to help (a) cover up that steroids mess that popped up a few months ago and (b) to prevent TNA from taking over?

I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see one Dwayne Johnson show up soon. Also, TNA would be wise to get the checkbook out and lock up Styles and Daniels. That's always been one of Vince's favorite strategies. Let somebody else build the guy, then but his best years.

what do you think of umaga? it just seems he doesn't know how to take a beating. Surely they aren't planning all these attacks on him only for him to stay standing right?

I think what we saw tonight is the first part of a strategy to try and shift the public's attention back to the ring. The Maxim article on Benoit's last days is brutal. Vince can't let that be what people are talking about.

Umaga has been terrible in every character they've given him. I think Vince gave him such a big initial push when they gave him this gimmick, he feels bound to prop him up a little.

thanks for your ideas. I agree on Umaga, he's horrible to watch. I can't imagine Johnson making a return to the ring, but I'm not sure what he's up to now other than making craptastic movies. With the passing of Benoit, I think the age of tactical professional wrestling went out the window. Now it's all about the high flyers and fancy finishing moves.

I don't think Johnson will ever be back full time, but he'll pop up occasionally for big events. If Austin ever gets medical clearance for his neck, he'll do the same. Vince still has dreams of a Hogan-Austin Pay Per View.

sadly, I think i'd pay to see that, even though Hogan is 4,931 years old.

I can see the Rock coming back for big shows, but I think we'd only see him actually wrestle in a wrestlemania.

I can hear "Real American" in the background as I type.

It would be nice to see the Roc and Austin back...It maybe would help the program and the d$mn stock go up. (I hope)

Agreed on everything, especially the Kennedy - Michaels angle.

Kennedy.......... Kennedy

Vince has a star in "John" Morrison....if he can stay out of the dog house.

i guess i need to watch more of the ECW shows to check out Morrison. But no doubt Kennedy-Michaels will be great. I agree that Kennedy has all the tools. He can be good.

Morrison and Kennedy have both been in the doghouse as a result of the steroid debacle. That's how we ended up with the riduculous Hornswaggle angle. Initially, Kennedy was going to be Vince's son, but when his name was leaked in the New York Post as one of the positive steroid tests Vince decided to punish him by killing that big push. The only person that hasn't been really punished is Vince's pet, RKO.

while i'm happy Y2J is back, couldn't they have done something a little less gay than the "literal and figurative passing of the torch" Are WWE writers on strike too?

I dislike Orton for the simple fact that he was booted from the Marine Corps! That tells me all I need to know about him!

I'm a huge Orton fan, but they need to get the guy a manager or valet to do most of the talking. Being Orton's manager would be a perfect job for JBL.
