Enjoyed this post very much.

Some people have been discussing Williams and Fields on the court at the same time.

I cannot wait to see a lineup that has Harris, Maymon and Fields on the court at the same time with Hopson and Goins... It would not be a regular rotation probably, but man it would be tough to matchup with.

Thanks Hat. Good post. Like the posi-vibe. OOC, what was Renaldo's do?

A really, really awful mohawk type cut. I never thought I'd see one worse than what Nick Young sported when he was at USC. I was mistaken in that assumption.

1. Kudos to Laura Taliferro. That was a top notch opening night Anthem.
2. John Fields improves UT's defense immensely. The perimeter players can be more aggressive since they know they've got a stopper behind them.
3. Tobias Harris is very good. Not "The Next Carmelo Anthony" good, but very good nonetheless.
4. This isn't a great passing and ballhandling team. They had way too many loose possessions.
5. I'd again like to thank the 'AA for utterly ruining exhibition games. Pretty sure a game against the Argentenian Junior team would have been a little more fun
6. Sorostitutes doing performance art to the music of Queen. Awesome halftime, simply awesome.
7. Trae Golden is going to be a very solid player. Needs to go left occssionally, but I like his poise out there.
8. Renaldo Woolridge has the worst haircut in college basketball history. At least he's got that going for him.
9. If this team improves its ability to outlet the ball, they'll run some people out of the gym. Fields, Harris, and Hall will leave other team's bigs gasping for air.
10. The team looks to be in very good shape. Even Steve Forbes appears to have gotten into the act and lost several pounds.
I feel like you're more confident in this team than you were a few months ago. Do you think they have a good shot at making another nice tournament run?

And I didn't get a chance to watch this game, but does it look like we're going to stick with what worked well at the end of last year, or are we going back to the 'controlled chaos' you often ridiculed?

I was glad to see Fields live up to his defensive hype. I think Williams has maybe gained a step, also.

That's no surprise. Isn't Renaldo and Gabe Pruitt/Nick Young friends? Either way it looked awful.

Didn't press much, but it would have been a waste of time in this game. I did notice they threw in a halfcourt trap. They've got the personnel that should be able to make that an effective change of pace defense. We'll see.

By the end of the year, about where do you think Tennessee will rank? (Not the actual poll rank, but how many teams do you think will be better at that point)

To anyone that watched, what starting lineup does it look like we're going with? I've been out of the loop with basketball for a while...

I was hoping it wasn't just my eyes making me think this.

They'll be one of the top 15-20 teams when the games start becoming win or go home.

I would say eventually Goins, Hopson, Tatum, Harris, and Williams. Fields should be good coming off the bench early. I think Tatum's injury combined with McRae could push him out early. That may be a stretch, though.
