Yes, I am glad for woolridge, and I'm glad he came through. However, he hasn't been that good in all the other games. So we should bench him.

Agree that he has struggled, I'm not proposing we run sets through him, but to say someone shouldn't be ALLOWED to shoot ever, when he's come through clutch before, is a little silly. (Similar to the people who said he was a waiste of a scholly mere days before the KU game)

I agree with you. I would also say that he should never be jacking up those 3s with plenty of time left on the shot clock. I think half our offensive troubles are simply guys making stupid decisions like that. Get the ball inside first, shoot 3s only when you have to.
There's a difference between letting someone shoot and letting him jack up 3s with 20 seconds left on the shot clock.
1. Solid win against a bad opponent. The first 15 minutes were brilliant defensively.
2. Wayne Chism did exactly what he should do against stiffs like Sam Muldrow. He should always assert himself against lousy posts.
3. Bobby Maze and Melvin Goins played pretty good defense against Devan Downey. He's always going to get his points, but they kept him from controlling the game.
4. Renaldo Woolridge continues to regress. He looks worse every time out.
5. The injury to Cam Tatum is really tough. This team doesn't need Josh Bone and Steve Pearl logging minutes this upcoming stretch of games.
6. Without Downey, SC is a bad Big South team. They're in serious trouble next year.
7. Not sure why, but something about Darrin Horn screams "Quinn Snyder, Part II." I don't think South Carolina is going to be happy with the ultimate results he produces.
8. South Carolina should cancel their trip to Lexington. That has some 101-40 style Big Blue vengeance written all over it.
9. Great comeback by Ole Miss. They desperately needed that.
10. Giving Todd Raleigh a live mic is a bad idea. I was waiting for him to try and sell some 2002 Ford Explorers.

Hey it was so bad We rushed the floor all 800 of us for a Charles Hathaway tip in at buzzerover Gardner Webb
Yes, that was the year Higgins was ruled ineligible right before the SEC Tournament. I was at the Georgetown game. There's a reason neither Buzz Peterson nor Craig Escherick will ever be a head coach in a major conference again. Here's a blast from the past: was anyone else at the NIT game we hosted vs. Georgetown? That was the year Buzz was absolutely convinced that we were getting into the Dance due to a 9-7 conference record, but lost what amounted to a March Madness play-in game in the first round of the SEC tournament (shocker) to a very mediocre Auburn team, and got left out. Then we hosted Georgetown, general admission, NIT. There were maybe 2,000 people there. I've never seen a team less enthused about playing a game than the Vols were that night, except for Elgrace Wilborn, who, if memory serves, tied or broke the all-time single game school record for blocked shots. Otherwise, we laid down and got handled easily by an average, at best, Hoya team. And as it turned out, Buzz would never get any closer to meaningful March basketball.
I may be thinking of the wrong year, but was that the year Jon Higgins was declared ineligible toward the end of the season, and Buzz used that as an excuse as to why we didn't get in?
