He simply doesn't have the votes in the Senate for his "wall". The votes yesterday confirmed that. The fact is that there were 5 more Republicans (6) who voted for the bill without funding for the border wall than there were Democrats (1) who voted for the bill with funding for the border wall... That should send a message loud and clear to move on from this issue and reopen the government but Trump will be petty and stubborn. This is extraordinarily bad leadership on his part.LOL
His "strategy" consists of waking up in the morning, turning on Fox News, and asking himself what he can do that day to keep his 40% support.
All furloughed employees have been told by their respective agencies to take loans out to cover their paychecks if they need to. Most credit unions are offering interest free loans to cover those paychecks. So evidently Trump thinks grocery stores will "work along" with you, by which I think he means they'll give you food on credit to be repaid when the shutdown is over.
[QUOTELed by freshmen Rep. Elaine Luria of Virginia, the letter lays out a process that would guarantee a House vote — but not passage — on the $5.7 billion Trump has requested in border wall funding, as well as other funding he is seeking for border security needs. ]
The new Dem with brains is already blackballed. LolThis just means pelosi will cheat again and block honest debate and passage. Have to give this new Dem credit, though; but I wonder how long it will take before she learns the rules according to pelosi and becomes another of the DC criminals. Honest debate and a fair vote on anything pelosi is against is simply the same as "give them a fair trial, and then hang them" ... the result is in before the debate and vote even begin.
Just like the billionaires in the admin who don't understand how a family could be hurting by missing an entire months worth of pay. It's just a "little bit of pain, but it's going to be for the future of our country" right? We should be grateful for their sacrificeImagine that. Congress confused about financial matters.
