I don’t know what will be claimed ( as much as possible I assume ) I do know that last week there was zero funding now there’s 1.3 .
Great analogy. This is sitting on the 1 yard line and Trump promised a 99 yard TD play. The end result is a 5 yard play and it is being spun as victory and the defense caved. It's absurd.
Trump promised Mexico would pay for all $25 Billion and at the end of the day the American people are writing a check for $1 Billion.
This is a miserable failure. Simply no other way to spin it.

We gave up the short yardage in the middle of the field as the clock ticked toward zero. What did Chuck and Nancy promise ? See we can go round and round with this he’s better no she’s better stuff all day . The fact is , no shut down and there is somewhere between 1.3-1.5 going to fund the “ wall, barrier , fence , a thing that gets in your way “ . Sounds like a compromise to me .

Trump gave up more, a WHOLE lot more. Lets not forget, the starting position was $25B from Mexico. We are going to end up paying $1.5B. That means Trump is -$26.5B in the hole from where he started. Maybe he is the deal maker, but he got schooled on this one.
No doubt. There were just barely enough in 2016. 2020 will be different........or at least I hope so for the sake of humanity and all that is holy.
I do know that. Two people could easily have been equally obstinate in their assurance, one that the earth was flat, the other that the earth were round. They would be guilty only of being equally obstinate, not of being equally wrong. You realize you are so heavily invested in this that you are willing to vote for Elizabth Warren as president for the sake of humanity, did you think about that before you said it ? That is no different than the ones you accuse of voting for Trump because he’s on the Rs ticket .
Finally ... theres the real answer .
Lol
Trump got embarrassed. As usual.
He is a stain on the reputation and integrity of the nation. Nothing you say, no spin you offer, can counter the reality of Trump's claims:
1) 2000 miles of wall to be paid for entirely by Mexico, in one check.
2) 2000 miles of wall to be paid for by Mexico in trade deals.
3) Less wall, $25 billion, to be paid by Congress.
4) Even less wall, to be paid for by Congress, $20 billion.
5) Congress to make adown payment on some wall, $5.7 billion.
Deal is $1.3 billion which will buy 50 miles of wall.
That's not compromise. That us UTTER CAPITULATION by Trump.
The starting point in this negotiation was zero that’s what THE SPEAKER promised . The starting point for every negotionation is zero . What you get on the end it what you gain or lose .
