So not an emergency his first two years in office but one now?

Furthermore he chose political reasons over “security”. It’s the only reason he didn’t push for this before the midterms. So it’s an emergency only when not during an election. Interesting.

That’s quality excuse making. He allowed a CR with no boarder funding prior to the midterms. When he and his party controlled everything. Clearly that election was more important then this grand emergency. You can be pro wall. We can disagree. But stop pretending it’s that big of a priority for him. In fact we wouldn’t have had the first shutdown if it wasn’t for some media folks yelling at him. He knows it’s not a big deal but can’t afford to lose his base.

Two years of Republicans holding both houses of Congress, and how much in new wall construction funds were appropriated in those two years?

If the answer is zero, then is Trump lying about this new wall construction that is underway, or is he just being clever by implying "Trump built that"?

These questions are rhetorical, BTW.

See that's your sides problem. Because these people have (D) next to their names you look the other way. You can't blame one side when it's a political dance.

He wanted 5B. Pelosi said no. The Gov shutdown. Heard it cost us 11B being shutdown. So now the measly 5B is now at 16B so the theater can start. I'm sick of hearing about it and hope he goes ahead and finds the money or declares an emergency so the we can move on.

Here’s how shutdowns work:

Scenario 1: assume there is a Democrat president and the government shuts down. Republicans will be blamed for blocking the agenda of the president.

Scenario 2: assume there is a Republican President and the government shuts down. Republicans will be blamed for failing to compromise.

It works like that every time. The sooner you learn this, the easier these things become.

LOL. Still crying I see. Tell me grasshopper, have your rants done any good about the issues you're ranting about? You have so much anger over something you can't control. Trump owns you on a daily basis. Your personal hatred for an American President has consumed you almost to a level of madness towards everybody.

The entire government is an embarrassment.

Why on earth anyone wants to entrust more of our daily lives to these idiots is the greatest puzzle of all.
