The shut down thread

Yes, and I didn't even mention the best part. The entire Trump crime family is in jail, awaiting sentence, under indictment or under investigation. Do I have TDS? Damn straight I do.
Well.... admitting you have a problem is the first step. We are all pulling for you

The starting point was that Mexican caravans are flooding over and either killing Americans directly, or indirectly with drugs. We must have this wall to protect ourselves.

Were are we at now?

According to LG we are about to put up 50 miles of wall we didn’t have . I don’t know I’m not an expert wall builder .

Coulter:

Trump talks a good game on the border wall but it's increasingly clear he's afraid to fight for it. Call this his "Yellow New Deal."

The starting point in this negotiation was zero that’s what THE SPEAKER promised . The starting point for every negotionation is zero . What you get on the end is what you gain or lose .

Wrong. The starting point for Trump was $25B, free from Mexico. In fact, it wasn't even a starting point, it was what was promised.

Trump went from free money to touting us writing a check as victory. The revisionism already being spun is stupid.

Is this it? Is it over?

I hope it is, but am skeptical.

It isn't over, but you knew that.
Continuing Resolutions can only go so far. Congress needs to adjust spending caps by the end of the year or face sequestration which could cut almost $90 Billion from Federal agencies in 2020. Trump still can use that for leverage to get more $$ for the "Border Barrier" aka "Wall."

Politics.

For real.

Using the threat of cutting spending (which should be done) as leverage to spend more (which shouldn't be done).

I mean, its just comical.

Trump should set up a bill signing cermony in the Oval Office.

Then right before he signs the bill “oh what’s this? Well well it’s an EO to move Federal funds from other areas that I have discretion over in the amount of $4.4B to fund the remainder of the wall! I’ll sign this first!”

Sign the EO.

Sign the bill.

Use the &1.7B to start construction during the court fight for the remaining $4.4B.

Dim brains would be like...

Well, he has to keep up the charade. If by some chance he gets a second term, he'll be like "wall schmal"
