Were you born south of the border and do you speak English as a second language? The bolded section you’re hinging your argument on has nothing to do with - how -. It’s an appeasement to avoid the truth, and it has yet to this day to be adequately investigated and answered.

Her prior comments appealed to “how,” with a snarky, framed retort about, “who cares at this point... was it some drunk, or was it a planned, orchestrated event?”. (My words, of course, but practically what occurred)

Do you understand now, or does Dr. Pumper need to make another visit?

I think the opportunity that the Dems missed here was offering to support a bill that would separately fund the military and CHIPs. Offer to decouple those two things from the rest of the process. Those were the two points the GOP used to try to put this on the Dems, and they could have said they'd vote for them separately and bargain from there. That would have turned those points back on the GOP.

yes, that is why they should have done it. Actually doing their jobs, or being good shepherds of this country should have no place in politics. only partisanship.

I will say this, I will join whichever side drops the rhetoric and actually does work. doesn't matter if I agree with them or not. I want someone, anyone, who is willing to do the job.

Why didn't ObamaCare make CHIP redundant? And why with all the hanging CHIPS - all the myriad of safety nets - was ObamaCare ever justified in the first place if it didn't end them?

If congress can't fund the government then they need to go back home and find someone else willing to serve the people that sent them there. 12 months at a time not 4 weeks.

It's fascinating watching you bring up spin after getting called out for trying to reframe your intent.

No intellectually honest or rational person floats that sound bite if they truly understand the context in which it was used.

To me what is going on is bad. even when passing bills this partisan crap is bad.

if they were sitting down and talking and compromising and creating bills I would consider that good. Even if I don't agree with the end that would be a lot more in line with what the founders wanted than what we have. I would not mind the democratic socialist crap nearly as much if there was actual conversations and compromise about it. that would be better to me than what we have even if I am getting my way more with the conservatives in charge. Give me actual politicians who do their job and at least pretend to care. If I don't get what I want I can go out and vote for someone who will give it to me. As it is now it doesn't matter who I vote for, I get the same crap from both sides. just because I don't agree with LG/Luther doesn't mean they are inherently wrong on a given subject. just because my answer might be better doesn't inherently mean their answer isn't better than what we have.


yes, ideally, they would compromise and I would agree with the end. but thankfully/unfortunately I am not the only person that matters. something else we need back in DC, people who assume they aren't the only one with an answer.
