Seriously, America? Is this one so hard? This seems like an easy layup...I'm talking about the DREAMers, the DACA kids who were brought to the US as small children. The majority of Americans have wanted to give them a path to citizenship since 2010.

[A Fox News poll] shows 79% of the public supports that, including 63% of Trump voters. Leaders of both parties in the House and Senate say they want it. The president says he wants it. In other words, it's super popular. Politicians support it. And yet, we've been trying since 2001 and we still don't have a permanent fix to this.

There's this thing that President Trump said about his job on his 98th day in office. He said, 'I thought it would be easier', which, OK, he was roundly mocked for that. But weeks like this one, I think that too.

Dems got Smoked today. They will be desperate for a DACA deal. Anything Flake proposes will be DOA. DACA deal will be funding for a big wall, green cards only, no citizenship, no voting, and more ICE agents. Chain migration & lotto will be done too. Hardcore leftist will freak and moderates will peel away this summer as Trump & Rs rattle off a great infrastructure deal plus a roaring stock & jobs market.

Even if I don't agree with the end that would be a lot more in line with what the founders wanted than what we have. Give me actual politicians who do their job and at least pretend to care. If I don't get what I want I can go out and vote for someone who will give it to me. yes, ideally, they would compromise and I would agree with the end. but thankfully/unfortunately I am not the only person that matters. something else we need back in DC, people who assume they aren't the only one with an answer.

This all day. It is at the point that each side will swallow a bad policy just to claim a "win." Dems did it with Obamacare. Now Republicans are celebrating in the streets like they cured poverty over a three week continuing resolution to kick the can away. Foolishness.
