Trump just claimed (once again) that most of the government workers impacted by the shut down and not being paid are Democrats. Now, how could he possibly know how they vote? He says dumb things.

His wife had their first baby on November 16th and he will now be going without a paycheck for the foreseeable future.

It is absolutely ridiculous that a country that issued $1.3 trillion of new debt in 2018 is shutting portions of it's government down over $5.6 billion. Both sides are being petty and there is plenty of blame to go around... but I remember who it was on December 11th that said he owns this shutdown and that he would be "proud to shutdown the government". That was a very dumb thing to say and it was not good leadership. There are people experiencing real world consequences over this.

I'd look at the bright side if it were me and see this as a free vacation. The gubment always back pays after a shutdown when employees don't go in to work. I'm fairly certain he'll get his healthcare coverage as well.

Well apparently we have 400,000 non-essential employees of the federal government on furlough. You've got to think that out of that huge number of people, they can cut a quarter of them and the country will continue to function? Hell, it still functions with 0% of them "working"

I see the Dims care more about votes than illegal immigrants crossing our borders, drugs, child trafficking, MS 13, and whatever else. It’s disgusting the Dims are preventing a wall that they were for just a few years ago but they will vote billions in foreign aid to other sh!tholes of the world. These people are sick.

One of my best friends from college was from Sneedville TN in Hancock Co. He talked like that kind of stuff wasn't that uncommon. He went through his yearbook and pointed out a few people and told some stories. I had no idea that kind of stuff actually went on.

He wanted to do something day one but house republicans and senate suck and are a bunch of rhinos. He now knows this is his last shot and no help is coming from his own party

This is why so many of us conservatives hate the Republican Party anymore.

They are gutless and a bunch of Flakes....pun intended.

I personally loathe the Republicans at this point.
